What do we look for in a potential Partner?
When evaluating channels, we primarily consider three different areas:
- Content
- Average concurrent viewership
- Stream frequency and schedule
Partners are the best broadcasters that the Twitch community has to offer. We are looking for broadcasters that have large viewership and have built up a strong sub-community of their own. Our ideal Partner candidates engage their audience, produce amazing content, and find ways to stand out from the crowd. In addition, they are people that we want to represent our brand and are active, participating members of the community. As always, these broadcasters must also conform to our
Terms of Service,
Community Guidelines, and
DMCA Guidelines.
Content is the most important part of any stream. It is content that will bring viewers to your channel, retain that viewership, and drive revenue. Therefore you should look to produce the best content that you possibly can for your audience. Your audience should grow as your skills as a broadcaster and entertainer improve!
Average concurrent viewership is important because it is one way to measure success on our platform. Our Partnerships Team takes other factors into consideration including a broadcaster’s content, behavior, and interaction with others in the community. In general, you should be active, be professional, interact with your viewers, and make sure that you continue to follow the rules. Consistency is an important consideration when we look at average concurrent viewership. This means it is more important that you are able to attract a stable audience on a regular basis rather than hitting high viewership once or twice. A solid streamer that is able to consistently attract 70-80 viewers will have a much higher chance of being accepted than someone whose viewership fluctuates irregularly between 20 and 200. If you focus on engaging and interacting with your viewers you can expect your community to grow, and we always look for viewership that is trending upwards.
Finally we look at your stream frequency and schedule. We typically look for broadcasters that have a regular streaming schedule of at least three days per week. This is not a hard and fast rule, and we are pretty flexible when it comes to your schedule as we realize that some broadcasters have varying schedules and availability. We are primarily looking to ensure that you are actively using your channel and that you are consistently meeting the needs of your audience.
