Anna apparently spent the 1st dehydrated on a couch... perhaps the only time she's spent a day like a regular person would.

She's rehydrating... by exercise purging in a hoodie. Sweat out all those nasty fluids, Anna! Go for four dangerous dehydration events this week! Jacquie would want it for you.

Anna enjoys larping as a terminally ill person. She is just really hardcore about it, and she knows that mom will be there to save her if she goes too far again. She gets the attention and reverence that dying brings, but she isn't actually facing true impending death. I just wonder how she will play this when she has lived past a reasonable prognosis for people with CF. Will she claim a miracle or lean on that "rare mutation" that is currently poorly understood? It won't be long before genetic studies figure out whether the outlier mutations really cause disease. What will she do if it turns out she has a harmless variant? Edit to add, my bet is on harmless variant, btw.

Anna closes the year with a soliloquy and many, many manic photos of her with medical swag. She is a barbie ballerina ice dancer and, self admittedly, 5 years old.

And wouldn't you know it, she engineered two electrolyte imbalances in the past day just so Earth Mom didn't dare make plans. Happy new year!

That Nooma drink is actually really good. It does have stevia but you can't really taste it.

I was just wondering, can excessive stevia use lead to excessive pooping? Anna does love her poop potions. And now she has that convenient bag for mommy to change!

Anna made sure the new year was all about her by getting dehydrated.

She just looks so smug in some of those pics. The hospital staff must dread her arrival.

There is defintiely a contrast between her normal pictures and the ones where she's in teh hospital or pretending to be sick. She's very "meh" when she's doing mundane stuff or when she's doing the skating she, allegedly, loves so much. But when she's in a hospital, dying because of all of her illnesses, she's radiant and maniac with glee. Just look at the last picture of the third row: she's very smug and triumphant about it. She's completely in her element when she's "sick", those are her life goals, to be sick and "fighting for her life". I would laugh if it wasn't so pathetic.

It's orgasmic to her. She looks insane. But make no mistake. That is indeed her O face.:cryblood:

Not really Anna news, but something that will affect her: the Methodists are splintering into two groups over gay marriage.

As long time watchers are aware, Earth Mom and Earth Dad (Nancy and Bruce) are both Methodist ministers. They've long lived separately and ministered to different congregations due to their string differences in theological opinions, and also because they apparently don't see divorce as an option and so have come up with this compromise. Bruce, Anna's absent but much beloved father, is a hardline right winger who is in anti gay camp, whereas Nancy is far more moderate in her views.

So while this isn't Anna news directly, the schism will certainly cause more friction in the two Jonhson households. Anna worships her neglectful father, so my guess is she sides with him.

I don't think Anna even gives much thought or consideration to hot topics like gay marriage or abortion. Anna's World consists of: Avoiding food, making herself sick, telling everyone how sick she is, and pretending to pursue careers. And punishing mum.

Can you imagine watching TV with her?

*someone on chat show talking about having an illness*

Anna: "Omg, it's just like how I feel! It's so hard being me - good thing I've got God on my side, though! Right, Mom?"

*News report on Australian Bushfires*

Anna: Yeah.. That's really awful. I'll be sure to pray for them. *looks disinterestedly at floor*

I guarantee a medical emergency/ER visit the day before wedding day and any other day that is supposed to special for her sister.
I can think of at least 5 right off the bat
- Bridal shower
- bachelorette party
- wedding rehearsal and dinner
- wedding (as you said)
- baby shower

Yep, this seems pretty much spot-on when it comes to what we know of Anna's social consciousness.

Remember when, in April 2018, a tornado touched down in Lynchburg? Hundreds of trees were snapped and uprooted, hundreds of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed, vehicles were flipped on the highway, and twelve people were injured. Thousands of households were without power for days on end.

In her Stories, Anna praised God for sending the tornado to her area. Her reasoning was as follows: In a time when "politics and wars and sexual identity" were "tearing apart" the fabric of the nation and setting people against each other, she liked how the disaster brought the community together and gave her many personal opportunities to act as Christ's living witness to those who were suffering.

Anna's reaction to the misfortune of others speaks very poorly to her character.

Absolute ecstacy over beng dehydrated. That smug sense of satisfaction that she ruined the new year for her family is as nauseating as her recipes.

Yeah, for the amount of the religious stuff she spouts, it doesn't seem she thinks too deeply about, it's all very Chicken Soup for the Soul level glurge. She doesn't seem to have progressed beyond a Sunday school level of engagement with it, which makes sense seeing as she is still merely a small frail girl child.

I do not understand for the life of me why Pastor Mom doesn't pack a bag for Anna and put her on a bus to her dad. I bet Anna would go willingly so she could bask in his perfect presence.
I bet he flat out refuses, and who can blame him? No way he can bring his whores home to the parsonage with Lil Jesus there.
