One of the things I love about Jake The Lolcow is how nothing ever, ever, makes him think about whether what he said or did might not have been the right thing. Nothing in this world can shake his unfathomable belief that he is always right, never wrong. So the friends who "should know better" must be incorrect, or misinformed, or never liked him anyway (well, that one is true) - because Jake is apparently inherently incapable of making a mistake.

Jake's 6-3 (or 6-2ish) and the BMI that a number of the GRS surgeons require (35 and under) puts him above 280lbs. Since losing 150lbs from the bare minimum isn't realistic I have to imagine he's closer to 400.
He seems completely oblivious to the fact that this doesn't have to do with GRS as much as any kind of elective surgery at his weight and condition. They would be hesitant to operate on him for almost anything if they didn't have to.
I love that he's on a "starvation diet" and working out so hard to be near passing out when he's mentioned these exercises as ten minutes (with breaks) of leg lifts and lifting a metal bar with no weights on it. And he thinks he's a hulking brute with basically no body fat lmao

My theory is that the weight loss is nothing to do with transition. He says he’s on blood-thinning medication and he’s suffering from nebulous “health problems,” so I think the doctor just told him to lose weight or die and he decided to spin that into “my transphobic doctor is forcing me to lose weight before he’ll let me transition, GODDDD!” Possibly Jake brought transitioning up and the doctor told him that not being fat was the priority because he has the cardiovascular system of a 70-year-old.
