Something that's missing from the OP that's quite important is Nick's age. He's just 21 years old. At Charlottesville, he was 19.
His true management and leadership "experience" is limited to being President of the Student Council at his high school and being a member of right-wing groups on campus.
This is not a person who in any way shape or form was ready to attempt to lead a national movement that goes against the current prevailing culture in America. He has never had a real job. He has never personally encountered the many ills he rages against.
Nick Fuentes is the perfect mixture of "born in the wrong generation", "unwarranted self-importance" and "online right wing radicalization". He's so far out of his depth here that the destruction of his current reputation and persona are almost certain.
His desire to reject optics is based in an almost adolescent rage. It's clear he hasn't given serious thought to accomplishing anything. He's at his core a rabble-rouser and protester, screaming online and now in person about the dominant culture. Even his biggest moves are "funny" and not "effective". Through his actions, there is no path to his vision of the world being instituted. Nick doesn't think about that.
The cracks are starting to show now in who he is and what his approach leads to.
In other words, he's a clout chasing protesting child who has already ruined his chance to achieve great success in life at age 21.
The best thing for him would be to step back a while, refine his skills, approach and ideological points, and dive back in.
He won't though, because he's a Lolcow.
