The way she worded it makes it sound like she's going to do the ultimate thing to clear everything and be in the good again, and apologize for all the bad things she's done... when in reality this is going to be a half apology, with half of the things being herself trying to get free of the blame, the other half trying not to dig too deeply, and the other begging people to start believing in her again, or something of sorts. She's also not going to talk much about Marl (but she's going to keep him as a scapegoat) and she's going to ignore completely any shit we aren't talking about.

We have absolutely no reason to be positively cautious.

My prediction: someone in the inner circle has been getting uppity and questioning Glip's abuse, so Glip is gearing up a nice 100-page smear campaign to show them how things are done and bring them back under the Floraverse bootheel.

Prediction 2: Glip will explain that they were "wrong" about.... not starting the smear campaign sooner. You see, Glip is such a kindhearted person who wants to help people grow and improve, so Glip kept this AWFUL, ABUSIVE person around for far too long and let them EMOTIONALLY HARM everyone else with their talk of sanity. But now Glip is going to nobly step up and do the right thing by dragging the person's name into the mud where it belongs. Glip is so, so sorry, everyone, for not kicking this EVIL MONSTER to the curb sooner. Glip will be hypervigilant of wrongthink and dissent from now on! Sleep in fear, flora community!

Edit: I would not be surprised if the upcoming big news involves the Nikki character I posted about a few pages ago:
People on the Discord are posting cringey Glip-MS-Paint-Story ripoffs and crying about how Nikki:
  • "is being pushy" (trying to keep contact with the community & friends after being banned)
  • "flirted with minors" (Nikki is 19, minor was a week from being 18, the minor didn't consider it flirting)
  • "doesn't understand boundaries" (meanwhile complaining that it is unreasonable to expect them to take the time to explain their boundaries properly)
  • "posted NSFW in front of minors" (had a misunderstanding about server rules and tried to clarify the rules with the staff)
Aka classic story of inviting a clueless emotionally damaged autist into their server and then screaming in outrage when said person acts like a clueless emotionally damaged autist instead of being magically fixed by their cult psych course.

Edit 2: I take it back, I have no idea who Glip is going to demonize because the drama never fucking ends in this hellhole Discord and I can't swing a cat in here without hitting another scapegoat. This Nikki person was apparently associated with a "Sunspot" who was recently judged to be Very Problematic in ways that I've yet to dig through because I have a life, and an "Emma" who was also deemed Irredeemably Bad. Nikki seems to be permanently tainted by association even though they tried their best to obediently disown these people as soon as they were designated haram.

Someone explain to me how the hell this Nikki person is a pariah when Glip, the person who runs the server and whom everyone there adores, has either done or been complicit in pretty much everything Nikki's being accused of and more? It's like middle school level "if you don't stop being friends with her I'm not friends with you!" garbage. Except of course, in this case, the ringleader is a 30 year old woman.

Even at the height of Floraverse's popularity and success, it wasn't exactly a masterpiece. With as far as it's fallen quality-wise, what could possibly be the draw *now?*

It's certainly not the MS paint scribbles. Is it the porn? I sure hope teens haven't been latching onto Floraverse this past year simply because they see the porn out in the wild. :stress:

If Floraverse itself isn't drawing in these new fans... why does it seem like there are always a new crop of 16-18 year olds in the Discord? Are Flora fans actively recruiting youngsters from other furry discord communities?

I'm around Glip's age, and you couldn't even pay me to Discord-chat on a regular basis with people under the age of 25.

I feel like the floraverse discord may get shared around by other users to younger users they hang out with. These kids not knowing any better, curiously join in the discord and get swept into Melanine's cult and spread it around as well

Who the fuck cares if she apologizes she still has that server where she abuses others.
She had YEARS to come clean and I think she only feels the heat now because it's affecting her financially and taking down the thread didn't work. Whatever she says won't be sincere. A narc is always a narc.
