They're not "inspecting your hymen," they're doing a pelvic exam which is routine and you probably should have had one by that time if you had begun to menstruate. If they're looking for DNA evidence, they'll swab and take samples. This is conducted at a hospital by professionals, usually someone with an OB/GYN background, and submitted for a rape kit.
In cases where it's sodomy with an object, they're looking specifically for tissue damage, bruising and irritation that would indicate something had occurred. They also do a physical in most circumstances, take samples and look for any traces of DNA from the supposed aggressor. Your clothes will be taken, your belongings searched, and everything becomes evidence. It is a long process, and it doesn't just involve a crotch watch and callous comments.
I bet you got the idea of hymen inspection from that T.I. drama or whatever the rapper was, because it's amazing that you only now mention this coincidentally. Since you've got an impulse to not shut up about the supposed injustices done to you in your life, it is amazing that you have not once mentioned it before. It is convenient that you suddenly begin to tell it after a story about hymen examinations goes viral.
No respectable medical professional conducts these tests, but many are forced to in other countries due to religious reasons. In America, it does not happen and by law the doctor is not allowed to disclose that information to anyone unless they have the direct consent of the patient. Even a minor has to consent because we have laws protecting minors specifically for situations like this. It is also why a minor can seek birth control without parental permission. Gynecological health is protected even more than mental health in some situations.
