Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

The inclusion of the exp charm makes me thing that the expansions are gonna be high level. I cant fathom another reason to include it otherwise.

Well, it's gamefreak, so whatever you think the dumbest possibility it could be, make it dumber, you're not even imaginative enough to comprehend the levels they reach.

But turning 3rd versions into dlc was a smart move!

This one right here is the one I hate the most:

For some reason, it reminds me of a demented, shell-less Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
That looks like Popple got murdered, became a ghost, and possessed... a rejected Experiment from Lilo and Stitch? I don't even know WHAT, but that body does NOT fit the head. Those arms are ridiculous.

Literally the only thing that Temtem has over PKM atm, is it's MMO feature.
That is a very iffy feature. Speaking as someone who's spent a lot of time playing FFXIV and WOW, MMOs tend to be hit or miss at the best of times - you put yourself at the mercy of your internet connection and their servers to join up with the playerbase. And considering the playerbase will significantly consist of butthurt pokemon fans, that's probably not a good thing.

They apparently had a stress test just today!

It did not go that well, if you read between the lines.

Examples:

A total of 38000 people joined the test. Around 28000 Temtems were caught. This means that 1 in every 4 players left before they even caught one TemTem.

The server apparently had a LOT of issues - in four hours, they made 12 hotfixes. The servers never hit more than about 25% of load, and yet the Black Screen of Death was one of the most common ones.

Edit: The peak number of people watching streams was 5370 players. Sword and Shield alone - a two-months-old game that was seriously derided - sits at 6.2k viewers.

This response to the last official reply says so, so, so much.

Is it true the only way you can transfer pokermanz between the new games is through this online service you have to pay to use? Being dependent on the internet for that sort of thing is bull...

Between? No, you can trade just through the games, but the new cross-generation transfer system is what they're talking about paying for. No-one knows how it's monetized, though.

That's the keyword, "looks". for now we'll just have to see what comes of this expansion.
While that is true, their actions and general business practices as of late don't exactly inspire confidence. I'd gladly eat my non-existent hat if this turns out to be a gen II Kanto amount of regional expansion with lots of new stuff to do, but until I see such a thing with my own eyes, them peepers remain narrowed to slits.
