Oh boy, this thread is quite entertaining as a trash fire. The new highlight function works fantastic if you want to know if a thread is good. If the top comments are mostly meta discussion about the thread, it's most likely a bad lolcow topic. This thread is a blueprint for how not to act if you don't want to look like an idiot.
So, here are some humble opinions and tips for how to not be autistic in a kiwifarms thread. If you aren't austistic or don't feel like reading what is below, feel free to skip to the next comment.
1. Sometimes people find things funny that you don't. If you can't understand how on earth Jenny is a lolcow then ok, but others might. The only de facto rule for a lolcow is a) someone cares enough to make a thread, and b) Null/the mods allow it.
2. If you still want to defend that person, make at max one or two posts. A bad thread will die out on its own, or rely on so few contributers that it will look like a circlejerk. Allow them to humiliate themselves. Answering them makes the thread look thriving. See the Jordan Peterson thread for example of this done mostly right. Instead of answering, put a reminder in your calender to visit the thread once in a while and mark everyone as autistic instead. Get that ball rolling
3. Whataboutism is a terrible defence, especially when it reads like "why are you not laughing at this person instead, they do it too". Again, see tip number 1.
Also, some tips for not being autistic in general based posts in this thread by OP and his supporters. If you feel the need to defend yourself without being mentioned or having this post directed at you, maybe that should tell you something about yourself.
4. For most people, the fact that somebody wants to have an online presence and privacy at the same time seems reasonable. Some people are even quite defensive about their personal life. So for normal people it is completely reasonable that Jenny doesn't want a wikipedia site dedicated to her. You don't need to agree personally to understand that some people find it creepy that a lot of strangers are collecting information about you. This includes someone dedicating a 11 hour podcast to talk about you.
5. Saying "this person collects money to make videoes" is not as damning or funny as some posters here seem to think. When it isn't even likely to be true, as Nicholson makes video that attacks her allegded employer, it just looks even worse. People trying to Sherlock Holmes together theories about how she is using bad reviews as smokescreens is even more embarrasing, Occams Razor, people.
6. Some people actually like The Last Jedi.
Just Write did a good job explaining this. It is sort off like Tip 1, people can like things you don't. A lot of architechts praise buildings that look absolutely haram for normal people, not because they are defending their own, but because someone who works in the field might find the buildings interesting. People have different perspectives. So if your great conspiracy theory is based on someone enjoying something you don't, then maybe keep it to yourself and look for more evidence.
7. There has yet to be a single picture in this thread were Nicholson is wearing anything considered "slutty" outside of a islamic nation. Also, people like to look good in pictures. Posing is quite normal for both men and women her age. There is a
post here mentioning how weird it is that she has some full body pictures where she is barefoot, and that there is a picture were she is using a downwards perspective. Try asking yourself, is this photo sexualised because it is slutty, or because you find women who are merely existing sexy?
"Why would you take so many barefoot full body shots in costume, when the costumes have shoes " The person who wrote that post is projecting so hard that if he faced a wall he could probably show off a PP-presentation.
8. Some men have a "binary" opinion about women. They consider them either attractive or not attractive. After that point attributes like humour, personality and similar non-physical traits gets considered. So, yes, it is possible for people to say that they prefer Nicholson over some other more conventionally attractive girl without being thirsty liars (Notice it says
possible, not
likely).
9. Everybody can't get along with everybody. Sure, Nicholson isn't friends with everybody, and drama is a good source for tardcum. At the same time, if you want to present a person as a dramacow there should be a quite considerable amount of steady bitching to sell your point. The existence of a few tweets and rumours that people are talking behind each others back is some high school shit.
And remember, if you don't like something it is possible to scroll past it. Thank you for attending my TEDwrite.
