As much as he was trolling I guess considering he delivered big time with the other DLC fighters and was set to announce 6 more to come I imagine it was supposed to be good-natured. Will still admit I'm annoyed just cause it the hype was too high for just another FE character.

This is also inevitable though, SwSh sold like hot cakes and they'll wanna add in something relating to it to Smash. Plus everyone wants to see the 2 most entitled fanbases get riled up at the same time

Entire pass like last time, except there's 6 fighters and it'll be finished by the end of next year. The salt will continue for the foreseeable future

I almost think Sakurai was trolling so much because this wasn't his choice, and Nintendo made him add Latest Fire Emblem Protagonist 3.0.

As someone who has had all their wishes granted in Smash, I'm just laughing at the salt. The only thing that could get me excited for a new character is pre-7 Final Fantasy recognition, but that's such an out there hope that I'm too realistic to have any expectations.

I'm glad Cup Head got the Sans treatment, the "looks like a grotesque costume" Mii fighters are always such a disappointment, though I don't care for it.

Oh no, Sakurai is taking his time with releasing more DLC, how dare he take it easy on year 8 of continuous Smash development lol.

The divide between fans is glorious. I just hope he isn't getting death threats.

Also kirbopher started bragging about voicing Byleth and how he'd probably get into Smash. Then he got fired and patched. Lmao.

I completely lost my shit when the presentation opened with Sakurai hanging a poster and when he started explaining what Fire Emblem was and how it is difficult to pronounce in Japanese. He really is a masterful troll. I was expecting it to be some kind of troll/wtf pick when it was announced they would be revealing and showcasing in one presentation but Byleth slipped my mind. Here's to fighter pass 2 continuing to be interesting and delivering more salt.
