i think she will be in danger of having horrible parents and a mother she can’t learn about being a responsible adult woman from because lainey never mentally matured past 16.

This dysfunctional family situation seems uncannily similar to greg’s family and upbringing, even down to the childhood head injury (if i’m remembering right, greg has said he hit his head after falling off of a ladder as a kid). The usual mentality of a new parent is to give their kids a better childhood/parents than they had, but Greg is giving troy and cloey a truly fucked up childhood that’s just as bad if not worse than the one he claims he had. I hope they someday end up in a normal family if there’s any justice and get taken away from these two neglectful scumbags.

I think we have barely scratched the surface of what happens to the kids in that house. Only a tiny portion of their negligence has been documented. Living with Greg for years on end will cause emotional damage for anyone, let alone two young children with developing minds.

I feel like all of his hatred towards every woman whose ever lived just comes together and amplifies towards his own daughter. I'm sure he heard her screaming and wanted her to suffer as long as he could leave her before she died, so he wouldn't have to deal with police.

This is such a horrific thought to even process. My partner and I have struggled with infertility. We both want nothing more than to be parents. We'd take a child into our home in a heartbeat. We both have abuse histories from our own childhood, so we would never allow anything like this to happen to them.

It makes my blood boil and causes me to get angry just thinking about him postponing care so she could suffer. It's terrible to even think about. I just hope that somehow she gets into a home with parents who love her dearly and would move heaven & Earth to make her happy.
