I only caught a few minutes of the stream today, but at one point Phil made a joke about WWE Champions. While the characters were out fighting, see, Bulma is sitting in the capsule "playing WWE card games, spending $140k and looking for a Hulk Hogan Card! YEAHHH BROTHERRR! ACK ACK ACK!" He loved it. Cackled and then peer into the chat to watch the reaction.

He then proceeded to shit on detractors. A couple of people said that nobody said it was $140k, but Phil fired back immediately (it wasn't a cheer, he zeroed in and found it in chat), "OH YES THEY DID. Someone said it the other day! Why would I even HAVE that kind of money!" He then continued to shit on detractors for constantly ramping up the amount. That's the kind of idiots he is dealing with.

So he's definitely using the amount as his semantic dodge. He didn't say anything about not spending money on the game, he just mocked the amount. There's no way the person who cheered that was not deliberately handing him an out.
You ever see the Game Grumps playthrough of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door? It's pretty infamous in that they're bad at the game, but one of the Grumps, Arin, gets particularly upset by people sending them e-mails, telling them how to play better. When his partner, Dan, takes up their advice, Arin proceeds to have a salty rant about it. "Jokingly" he mocks the criticizers. Okay, cool, now we can move on, right? Later in the playthrough, around three months in real-time, Arin again brings the issue up, again, "jokingly", pretending to berate Dan for "not playing perfectly."
My point is, you know someone is stung by what you say to them if they keep trying to throw your own words back at you, especially if they try to twist it into "See, it's a joke now, we're laughing at you!", and not just simply dropping it. Phil's handwaved and ignored plenty of criticism in the past, but this time it's different. He's desperately trying to weave a narrative here.
TL;DR This whole thing has been a sniper round to his nerves. We're on to something.

but phil doesn't watch tractor khantent
No, somehow the one cheer that came through about it on Phil's stream when he initially addressed it said something like "They say you spent $140k on the mobile game, is this true?" And we've never looked back. That's all anyone says to Phil, we're going to keep ramping up to $500k soon, he says!

Latching on to that little detail hard.

There's an old SNL skit where the President is irradiated and turns into a giant. At a press conference, the exchange goes:

Interviewer: Is it true the President is over 100 feet tall?
Reactor Spokesman: No!
Interviewer: Is it true the President is over 90 feet tall?
Reactor Spokesman: ...no comment.

Phil's classic strawman method of arguing: try and divert attention to a topic by completely over-exaggerating the opposite side and going into clownmode. He gets super defensive and pissy when the WWE topic gets brought up, so people obviously notice that it strikes some kind of nerve. This video is 4 minutes after his "joke" about Bulma pulling Hulk Hogan--just listen to the saltiness.

EDIT FOR VID:
Starting around 38:22 if it doesn't load. I listened to about 42:07 when he seems like he drops the subject, not sure if there is subsequent gold dust.
Holy shit, he literally brought up the meme again just to fill the dead air of his god-awful commentary, "waking up" his fans?
I thought he didn't rely on detractors? I thought he was talented and could entertain an audience on his own?
That's the funniest shit

Looks like Phil's still grinding it out. @tzgnilki, you getting any updates still?

There are too many coincidences that indicate that this isn’t Phil. Occam’s Razor applies perfectly well here. The simplest answer appears to be that this is DSP, therefore it’s him.

What I believe he’ll do is the usual fuckery that started last year during the wedding arc where he’ll confirm he lied about something but it wasn’t totally untrue since he technically didn’t tell us he got a new cat as Jasper was already 11 months old. So it wasn’t new.

Same thing with WWE Champions: I never said I didn’t play it nor did I confirm I didn’t spend any money, I just didn’t spend $140,000 on it!

i'm still keeping track of his "offline since" timer, even though we found out it doesn't update when he's on during the day

consistently online between 1-2a.m his time

Might be worth checking the leaderboard for the ongoing event (see mrhuth2 on Twitter) every so often during his day off to see how much he's playing.

definitely worth looking at, they might update quicker or more reliably than the guild roster

i'll start something with the event rank and total points, & just record what times I check

I love how DSP doesn't even consider that STILL paying hundreds of dollars on a mobile game even during a foreclosure proceeding isn't going to reflect poorly on him.

Not only that, I don't think it was a troll tip/cheer. I think a FAN told him that THEY were saying he spent $140K, and it's harped on that little detail ever since. So a FAN gave him incorrect information and he's been blaming detractors since.

Someone who speaks fluent English is talking in that Discord.

So either someone in Hawaii is staying up until 11-12 at night every day playing this game, someone in the UK is playing it between 9-10 AM every day, or someone in the US is playing it between 1-2 AM and 3-4 AM every day. I mean I know other countries can have people fluent in English too, but that's the likely suspects here.

Of course. Phil is all about semantics. He won't say anything outright, he'll just allude to it heavily so he can still deny it if he needs to.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I remember him saying hundreds of thousands of dollars and thinking "I don't remember anybody saying that at all."

if kat was aware of DSP's addiction (or if DSP had any friends) he could just have them login to the account while he's streaming to "prove" the detractors wrong. this is evidence that kat doesn't know about it. maybe he could hire a hooker to login to the account for him.

I've said the same thing before, and later thought about it some.
Katherine could simply not care, or he might not tell her because of possible aftermath. But horse face aside, even if she logged in during stream, we would notice him not using his phone. Realistically we're currently stuck in a shitty situation where neither party can prove, or doesn't want to prove their claim.

Our best bet is someone hacks his account, AppStore or Discord. Getting information from his clan mates seems stupid, because they will likely not want to risk losing their golden egg goose.

Another option is if one of his mods would share if they use Discord, and if the account in question is the one Phil uses.
