Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

It's not really because he's a highschool dropout, Kurt Cobain, Johnny Depp and Richard Branson are highschool dropouts too - it's his inability to improve the one thing he was slightly good at combined with an unsatisfiable ego. And you know, being rétarded.

Johnny Depp is also a washed up actor and serial divorcee with massive narcotics problems and Kurt Cobain uses buckshot for mouthwash, so I wouldn't say those are great examples unless your only criterion is monetary achievement.

What else would you finish high school for? The further down you go the education route the more financial safety you'll have for your future. If anything, they are people who took huge risks for doing something they believed in rather than everyone else who wants safety, considering Kurt even ditched his janitor gig and was fine playing small shows and living on the road.

Edit: better examples since current state seems more important than end of life/legacy somehow, Dave Grohl and Keanu Reeves are highschool dropouts as well.

More posts about that seizure-inducing bit in the Twilight Princess video, this time happening to a mother and her 4-year-old kid. Luckily she watched the video in advance while he was out of the room to check ahead and see if something like that would pop up, but had she not been there, that kid probably would've gone into epileptic shock and died.

Sure, that's the worst-case scenario and highly unlikely to happen, but that didn't stop some Lovelies from talking down to the kid and his mother (screenshot courtesy of the same guy who saved the MasterSwordRemix livestream; wasn't able to archive it myself and couldn't find it again on the Main Sub).

It was all worth it for that random access humor though

Is it so wrong to think somebody is taking a risk when they watch stuff on the Internet? Every spoiler on KF might be a troon stink ditch and I usually click anyway.

Maybe, but keep in mind that Game Grumps has a history of noting it. See their Mystery of Convoy episode, around 1:20 after the skit and opening.

If you're 4 years old and already watching GameGrumps an epilitic seizure can't make you anymore r.etarded or braindead.

I dig some digging, and apparently the mother is a 2 dimensional octo-loli. The father, however, is very real and in 3 full dimensions!

I imagine the people who believe this story is true are the same people who believe that creepy pastas are real and talk to their computer screens like they're apart of the letsplay.

Is anyone gonna mention how in the latest episode of the TP lets play, Ben seems to forget to cut a bit out? Im on mobile so I cant seem to link the specific time, but around 27:44, during a part that Ben was apparently supposed to cut out, they go on to talk about how they dont want to do 10mph or tours anymore, and only do it for the money.

To me, it sounded like Dan doesn’t enjoy 10mph or touring. He only wants to do random LetsPlays that take no effort on his part or make music about dinosaurs and dicks (not sure if he wants to continue touring for his band or not). Which Arin responds sarcastically with (paraphrased) ‘yeah. who needs to make money?’
GameGrumps is a business and Dan really doesn’t seem to enjoy it being that way

And then they immediately go back to being funny YouTube men and pretend to be having a good time.

I know it's no surprise that the Grumps are disingenuous, but it's still so oddly jarring when Arin and Dan are like "AnD WeLCoME baCK!" and goes through the steps. They sound so burnt out, and it's a little sad to hear that Danny doesn't even want to do tours anymore (assuming he's talking about NSP and not whatever the grumps do on tour). I have a feeling Ben isn't going to be around for much longer.

Even still, the fanbase will have no problem with this and business will continue as normal.

Firing Ben is admitting that this isn't "just a goofy bit", their greatest defense. They'll keep him on and leave that part in and the lovelies will eat it up.

Say what you want, I'd rather hear Dan and Arin be genuine about what they're tired of instead of keeping the facade up. Wasn't that what made them endearing in the beginning? Maybe they did it with more youthful energy when they were, y'know, younger, but Jon/Dan and Arin kinda dropping the fake routine and just talking (probably because they weren't formally trained in improvisation for hours on end), or getting angry or showing an actual human emotion here and there while in their "relaxing past time hang outs in-between their scripted video productions / music work / animations" was the whole point I thought. At least in comparison to the 24/7 Edgy Kids Show Host thing the show's turned into, I thought those "real-ish" moments early on was what separated them from the flock of Twitch startups back in the days when they still told themselves they weren't Lets Players, but something else and Game Grumps was just a side thing.

Flanderization is a bitch.

I don't think the problem is that they're being genuine here, rather that they're not being genuine any other time. The snap from "yeah, imagine making money" to "WELCOME BACK LOVRLIES" is very jarring and you know they're miserable doing this but Arin wont ever let anyone admit it. The fact that this was clearly not meant to be in the episode says a lot.

Not to defend Ben (because he is an awful editor) but - who's fault is it, really, that that little clip got into the video? Didn't Matt Watson say that Arin doesn't want the editors doing much in the way of editing when t came to their uploads?

Maybe Arin ought to consider putting one of his many interns/friends in charge of quality control before anything is uploaded to Youtube to avoid little incidents like these.

That's not exactly what was said. Dan said "when I quote-on-quote retire, I just wanna do Game Grumps and just make music. No more Power Hour, no more touring, no more anything just chilling and enjoying." It seems standard, to me, to look forward to retirement, especially at Dan's age and it doesn't necessarily mean you hate the work you do. I mean retirement is just a guilt-free NEET life and who wouldn't want that? Still retarded that he'd wanna spend retirement doing Game Grumps though. I think what Arin says is far more telling. "Who needs to make money anyway?" The prospect of pure contentment was just lost on Arin there because all that mattered to him was the money.

I mean if he said anything like "I don't want to do Gamegrumps anymore" on an episode of Gamegrumps it would raise some red flags in the "lovelies" community and they would start doing mental gymnastics.

I can def see why he would want to give up touring, but I do find it interesting that he would want to pass on TMPH when "The Grumps" channel is made specifically for that purpose of live action entertainment. They made that channel less then 6 months ago and I guess Dan at least is not having it.

For some reason I currently can't edit so I apologize for double posting, but we have new things regarding the book

Arin has made another post about his "Uncle's book"

It's a video talking about the last thing his "Uncle" sent him, and when you take it out of context it just sounds bad business decisions almost akin to Game Grumps as a whole.

Also these fucking sheep in the comments are arguing that "It's a bit" don't realize that a bit is supposed to be funny and short, not drawn out over months and just be shit ARG marketing.
