Number one priority is to wash your fucking hands thoroughly after using the toilet with soap and hot water and also again the moment you get back home from doing anything where the rest of the world and their snotty kids are putting their unwashed shit-flecked hands and hands that have been up their noses and in their mouths and coughing and sneezing without covering their mouth and nose and spraying droplets over the surfaces you touch in shops and offices and so on as well as into the air. This applies in general, honestly, because people are dirty bastards who don't wash their hands properly at the best of times even outside China. The more you wash your hands properly in general the less lieky you are to pick up normal colds and flu. The less you touch your own face with unwashed hands the better too.
It was a requirement in my SARS hotzone area once we were allowed back in the schools to supervize all children during their bathroom breaks to wash their hands with soap and hot water. This is when we found out that most nearly all of the Chinese disapora kids don't even recognize what the bathroom soap dispenser looks like despite being around them day in, day out. Cue hand washing lessons; lots of soap and warm water and one minute of washing working soap front and back of hands and between the fingers. Get under nails with a clean nailbrush and soap at home too. Not this pathetic dangling one's fingertips under some water for two seconds and shaking that so many folks do and think they're somehow not a shit-carrier. Water washing alone does nothing to clean your hands, you may as well not bother. Let;'s not even get into the filthy apes who think not washing hands after the bathroom at all is a civilized way to behave.
Clean phones and keyboards with 70% alcohol. It takes longer to evaporate than 100% so it stays longer on the surface and kills more stuff. Helps to go around offices and swab light switches, elevator buttons and door handles with it too.Anything that multiple people touch all day will have a layer of skin grease and bacteria on it. Honestly, best to wear gloves when out and about anyway.

I'm Chinese myself. I've got realities such as grandparents who lives in Wuhan. They said they've been staying happy to celebrate Chinese new year. However, they can't go outside past curfew, and there's a lot of doctors or police going around. It's unsettling, but they still enjoyed Chinese new year.

Something worth keeping in mind regarding any leaked information coming out; like any government the CCP has its enemies and there's no way they're not using this crisis to leverage their voices and cause panic. It's easy enough to sit back and say "well of course they're not identifying themselves because if they did the CCP would stomp on them" and that's true, but it's also a big hit to their credibility regardless.

Can we get a death pool started on the mayor of Wuhan? He was fucked just being the unfortunate local official in charge when this broke out, but he’s made all sorts of bad decisions that make his eventual execution pretty much assured at this point.
