I live in Malaysia and my state itself has 4 ignorant chinks who jumped from China-Singapore-Malaysia for god knows why and how. Led to a whole wing of the hospital getting quarantined and this shit still happens.
A police report had been lodged by a doctor after the Chinese couple refused to obey a directive for their two-year-old to be quarantined.

It is understood that the couple didn’t want their child to be quarantined as they did not want to miss their flight back to China.

In his report, the doctor said the couple had insisted that their child only be prescribed with fever and cough medication.

There really seems to be a peculiar mixture of utterly ruthless selfishness and abject, foot-shooting stupidity in these mainland people.

I wonder if this is food for thought -
I've watched a lot of off topic videos of how Chinese citizens act in public and abroad and it is very odd - like a stunted growth. It would make sense as Communist countries like to keep their citizens infantile and reliant on the state - it's just odd to watch in actual videos though like the one video in the shopping center where two full grown adults are hitting each other in line for food.

The panic in a way may be overblown because you have a country of basically children freaking the fuck out. I wonder if this happened in the West, we'd see nurses breaking down sobbing over the same thing or they'd have more composer.

I'm waiting until the CDC makes an offical statement, not china. I trust one to have more of its bearings together than the other.

I don't trust any of them at this point. When it comes to their PR departments, their ultimate objective is avoiding any Boog shit and the entire world breaking down into chaos and panic. And if that means lying to us, they will.

Now would be the time for our beloved Otter doctor to say something. Because this is blowing up badly.

Before everybody panics. Some pretty strong indicators are the Chinese first began to flag to this somewhere around Jan 2. So given a worst case incubation period of 14 days and an update today claiming 3-7 days it probably started at least a week prior, We should be expecting to see much more spread overseas than is so far reported. So chances are it may not be as virulent when airborne as is feared. Touch or contact contagion seems to be a greater concern. There have been claims that it is persistent on surfaces for some time which would support that. By touch they likely do not mean infection through skin contact or spreading via sweat. Rather it is probably particulate saliva that you will come in contact with and eventually transfer to your face or eyes. One Chinese Doctor described his own first sign of infection to be conjunctivitis of his eye, so that would fall in line with that. That we have not yet been seeing whole airplanes worth of people starting to develop symptoms or signs yet from travel in the first half of January is somewhat hopeful. And yeah I may be optimistic.

Pretty sure mainland Chinese are acting exactly like the caricature of Jewish people that 4chan believes in.
You'd be correct, but they're somehow....worse.

Imagine quasi-Saudi money crossed with the typical Chinese coke-with-vintage wines noveau riche taste crossed with LOUD AS FUCK Karen-esque behavior.

Just ask anyone working in sales or f&b in SEA what they think about the chinks.

I'm watching the press conference now and there are some interesting things.

There are 59 hospitals acting as fever clinics in the Wuhan region. Yesterday they received more than 10k patients. This lady then says each hospital had 1174 patients per hospital, which is too many for that 10k figure. Then she says that off those >1k per hospital, a bit over 300 will be kept for observation.

West doesn't have air pollution, population density, doesn't eat bats and snakes, mostly hygienic, and so on that already make the usual China person weak. But the fact that this is a completely new virus still stands.
Even then, West has so little deaths from it that I hear of, so I imagine the West has a pretty great fighting chance.

young people may be more susceptible if they have diabetes or high blood pressure. RIP America

Actually China has a remarkably high incidence of type 2 diabetes as well. And once again before everybody panics, with bad respiratory infections it isn't always the age of the patient. Often how long the wait before seeking medical attention is a factor. Does anybody remember Jim Henson? He died from ignoring a bad respiratory infection until he couldn't ignore it anymore. This is or can cause pneumonia. and pneumonia if ignored can kill a young otherwise healthy person.
