Telegram (and other widely used social media) is encrypted and has so many users that terrorist users hope to just rely on their ubiquity and the huge cloud of other users to cover them. Another method is using chats in obscure parts of old MMOs.

And then there's just the fact they're a bunch of fucking tards, the kind of people who instantly start talking to cops the minute they see them like they're old buddies or some shit.

Lets say you use discord server for your psy-ops shit and you recruit one bad apple, he then can screenshot bad/stupid shit that was ever said in that server and leak it to the press or public in general. And at some point you are bound to recruit a bad apple... or maybe someone will get compromised. It sounds inevitable that shit will be leaked.

I'm probably missing something obvious here, but to me it looks like simply creating your own IRC server that doesn't log anything is more "secure" than all this "encrypted" shit.
