So, this April 2 court date... that's just going to be a continuance or something, right? I'm trying to decide if I want to go.

I suspect it'll be on par with the last hearing. That is, very uneventful. If someone's in town and wants to hang out there during Chris' hearing, be my guest.

IANAL but I've observed a few legal proceedings, and there will be a continuance only if OPL and his lawyer want one, and one will be easily granted if they ask for one. (This time. Eventually the court runs out of patience for continuances but one more is not the breaking point.)

Do POL and his lawyer want another continuance? They really shouldn't, since you usually want a speedy trial, but OPL likes kicking the can down the road and deferring things as long as possible.

Even without continuance, this still won't be the full trial. I'd expect at most for a plea to be formally entered and a proper court date set.

Certainly wouldn't be like the GameStop incident and we were just lucky someone managed to capture that moment.
