I've been broke as fuck and gone to food pantries and even the pit of vipers hobonig soup kitchens. They don't ask too many questions, and a lot of times it's a good four star restaurant staff volunteering and serving pretty good food. His relationship with Khet will be impacted; his streaming schedule will be impacted; selling his possessions will impact; and he’s right back into the nightmare of having to pay off creditors while living in a two-bedroom apartment in Korean town.

This isn’t the end of the DSP Reality TV show but it might be the end of the WA khando arc which is going to be extremely debilitating to someone as anti-social and anti-change as Phil.

Early conjecture is that Phil is counting the microtransactions as a business expense, as he's claiming hilariously that $5000 a month (and a ridiculous $9000 in July) goes to running the business he's not a proprietor of. I can't even begin to speculate how Phil could stretch $1000 in monthly business expenses, much less $5000, but it's almost certainly Phil cooking the books.

The problem has never been the amount of money Phil makes. Phil makes more than enough money for someone to reasonably live comfortably if they just exercised the most basic form of impulse control and had basic financial common sense, such as saving for taxes, not taking out 13 credit cards etc. The problem is Phil is unable to live within his means. If Phil was making 500k a year, he'd find a way to continually spend 600k each year. And none of that 600k would go into paying off his existing debts or taxes.

As far as Phil spinning things, you're not wrong, but that's exactly why he's a cow and what the majority of his content is ultimately about. You're also not wrong about Phil being able to survive this, but that's because I think you're setting too unrealistic of expectations. If you consider "surviving" being able to stream and e-beg, nothing short of the internet being destroyed will stop Phil from doing that. I strongly disagree with Phil being able to bounce back though. People like to imply nothing bad ever happens to Phil, but I think it's because they have similar expectations of Phil having to be literally destroyed for him to lose. The thing is, Phil has been losing for years, and he hasn't been bouncing back. He's been slowly bleeding and trying to delay the inevitable. The only reason it hasn't had more serious repercussions is a combination of the system moving slowly and Phil managing to do the bare minimum.

Basically, Phil is in a ship filled with holes. It's taking on water, and while Phil was able to cover a few of the holes to slow how much water it took on, that's not enough to keep the ship from sinking. What we're seeing now is the ship finally taking on too much water to the point where it's sinking. But even with everything going on, Phil might have months before he really starts to see the negative consequences, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. Phil is screwed, even if his current bankruptcy attempt miraculously works despite all the lying and other issues with the initial filing.

As far as permanent consequences though, I'd argue that the consequence of having to continue to be Phil is one of the worst consequences possible. But, there's also the very real possibility that he loses his wahkando and his wife. Even if these are technically replaceable, they're still loses and huge blows to Phil's ego. But yes, Phil will find a new way to beg, even if it means moving back home and streaming from his childhood room. If you think that's Phil surviving, I'm not really sure what else you want to happen outside of Phil literally dying. Even if Phil were banned from Twitch, he'd just switch to a different streaming service, and his loyal band of wheelchairs would follow him there.

The exciting (for us) part is seeing Phil try and do mental gymnastics and seeing how much he rants and raves about things. He can try and spin it all he wants, but we're not his paypigs, we see through it and ideally, we're able to laugh at how sad his attempts are. There's also the added element of knowing that, despite what he wants to say, he has nobody to blame but himself. And I think it is safe to say Phil will continue to blame everyone but himself and fail to grow from this experience and is doomed to keep repeating his same mistakes over and over, because as it has been said time and time again, Phil is his own worst enemy/his biggest detractor.

$500k in debt?

It's time for the January 2020 monthly update, but before we begin, I'd just like to thank the Academy and Jesus for the recent filing of bankruptcy documents which confirm that the monthly estimations I've been making are damn near perfect. It feels good, man. It feels good. Now on with the show:

Caveats
1) Subs and cheers that show up in chat are basically 99.9% accurate. Subs that don't show up in chat are assumed to be Tier 1 and are added in as such ($2.50 per sub).
2) Tips are hand-counted, so while the overall tips are going to be mostly accurate, the individual breakdown of tippers is going to be incomplete. Tip numbers also do not include any off-stream tips unless an amount and name are given. ***Note: This matters this month.
3) Patreon is tracked through the month. I've made one final change to how I count the Patreon that I think makes it more accurate. As I've mentioned before, on the 1st day of each month, there's a flurry of activity that occurs, presumably from Patreon running patrons' credit cards. The problem is, during the month, any new pledges or increased pledges are immediately charged per Patreon's policy to prevent fraudulent pledges. What I've done is removed any changes that occur on the 1st of the month that do not include a change in the total number of patrons. In other words, if a patron isn't lost or gained, I don't count any change on the 1st day. I think this is more accurate, and if nothing else, it low-balls the Patreon take by a little, giving Phil more of a benefit of the doubt.
4) Youtube money is taken from SocialBlade's monthly view count with an assumed $1-$3 CPM range. Based on the last 6 reported months of income from the documents, his Youtube appears to be on the lower end of this range. Still, it seems to be pretty accurate, so I'm sticking with it for now.

Big into anime, asian girl pop groups, and Love Live. Dude also deleted videos from his Twitch after he was noted on this subforum, so I'm pretty sure it was him. No big surprises here. Larry, who showed up randomly and dropped $205, tops the list. 4 separate people showed up for one-time $100 tips. Straightcashhomie is desperately trying to buy a mod position (watch for that soon) and dropped $80 recently. And look, tomahawkmcx shows up again! By my count, tomahawk spent about $367.65 between the gift subs, cheers, and tips, and that doesn't include the bit overhead. So maybe more like $380-$400. Money well spent, obviously.
