I don't think he's paying this "high dollar attorney", though. My guess is that his mother got this guy to take the case on pro bono, and he either A) is giving it the literal least amount of attention possible without committing an ethics violation, or B) handed it off to an intern/law student to do the actual work. Or both, now that I think about it.

The problem isn't because he 'came back around,' it's because years of NOT coming back around have taken their toll, and reckoning for that is finally happening. He's out of touch with both the old demographic he alienated, and the newer generation that's moving on from the old demographic's particular sense of humor. He could've hung on to both better, or at least *one* of them, if he paid attention consistently to the forums. The forums are the dynamo that keeps his revenue stream intact; no matter how many times he tries to make excuses for himself for fading out on them, they were always his responsibility, and every fuck up incurred by his clown-car revolving-door staff assignments, he is entirely accountable for. He sure enjoys the financial benefits they've propped up over the years.

His defeatist attitude, is the peak of pathetic. Dust yourself off you whingey faggot and start doing some *work*, you quailing piece of shit. You simpering fucking fat girl. Do your goddamn job. Earn the money you're bitching about losing.

He needs to get back to regularly writing articles for his own front page, for that matter... and lay the fuck off his personal life. Banning anyone that reasonably insists there are holes in LT's story, that Ashli has a side that it's only fair be considered, does a lot to validate the posts they make, even if any of it is wrong.

If he is telling the truth at all about the shopping (probably not, would bet he is projecting), I wouldn't really blame her. She would be totally isolated and couldn't visit her family, and was dealing with a toddler and a husband that acts like an enormous alcoholic toddler. Buying shit is one of the least destructive paths people can take to self soothe through something that fucked up. I do have my doubts that it happened though.

It's a safe bet that he was so wasted and generally disconnected from what was going on in his own household and with his own kids, that he would have no idea what was really spent, or what it was spent on.

I'd also guess that he is omitting info about his own spending, and what's more, he isn't bothering to track it and wouldn't be able to account for it if he had to. A junkie with a steady and effortless stream of money will literally piss it away. I once knew a methhead with a trust fund who gave a gas station clerk a hundred dollar bill for a tire pressure gauge because the clerk didn't have change. I'd lay money that Lowtax does similar shit on the regular. When you're strung out and have money, you will spend as freely as you need to to remove all obstacles to your next buzz.

If Taxman is willing to admit to spending hundreds of dollars on pies, just think about the shit he is buying that he won't cop to.
