Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I don’t feel like watching a Yellowflash video, but if I’ve heard correctly this situation has nothing to do with Western SJW’s and everything to do with China. Nobody in America knows this guys name, at most they would have heard about Unit 271.
So it’s the seemingly never ending beef China and Korea has with Japan. Got it. How is this any different from the West and their outrage?

Sony was considered an "ethical company" in 2019. Were you Sony, were you?

Sorry for the 2 pictures if they both appear.

That’s just a list of assumptions made by one or two guys. I remember somebody post a tweet where they revealed who Vic still trusted, amongst them being Glass, Bailey, Huber, JYB, Cherami Leigh, etc.
While we can't confirm everything on the list (we really can't tell who exactly is secretly ISWV), I do think the list of VAs who are staying out of the conflict or pulled out ASAP after the first few weeks when KickVic lost their initial foothold is interesting cause that's a LOT of VAs who are at least neutral compared to the amount of spergy VAs that are vocally KV.

I really wish they had pinned their sources
Like I know Vee and Seitz indeed had supported KV, but they didn't pin the tweets next to their claims

Yeah it would be a lot better if everything was sourced properly. I remember that Christina Vee made a vague tweet back in early February I believe that sounded like it was about Vic but never mentioned him specifically, then hasn't said anything since (as far as I know). Sonny Strait was similar in that he made a tweet about believing victims very early on then shut up about it. If there's going to be a complete list (as complete as we could reasonably make) it would need to have sources for each claim.

Odd thing to note, but may be integral to some others. Some of these are very embedded with Video Game dubs or Triple A/Union now, outside of Huber.

A common fear here is that SJW’s in the west are influencing the industry at its source - manga. I’m just pointing out that this particular example is not a result of that.

Was the point to try to get to Japan?
I don't want to give him any clicks but can guess that he's blaming the western sjw, in this case it's more of an issue with the ever lasting impact of World War II in Japan's relationship with other asian countries. It's similar to what caused the cancellation of the nidome no jinsei anime and discontinuation of the LN (that I can't remember if it came back) due to the main character maybe being someone that massacred a bunch of Chinese during World War II.

Anyway, for anyone else that doesn't care here's an archive to a tweet translating WSJ own statement:
Also for anyone interested in looking through the replies here's the author's tweet about the situation:

It apparently comes from the Maruta part of the characters name which shares the exact same kanji/reading with the term used by members of Unit 731 to dehuminize those they experimented on. It's simply an unfortunate coincidence since the name also means round or fat.

earlier I had posted a list of possible ISVW actors in the industry, though that may or may not be reliable:

this is its sister list on DeviantArt:

mostly everyone from the Doxemon list is on here, and there are a few more names - some with proof, some with claims, most just namedropped

EDIT 2.0: if you saw what I said about Jeannie Tirado here, disregard, she still follows Ron Toye for some odd reason

I find it amusing that you referred to the KV list as a “sister list”, which is appropriate because almost everyone on that list is a sissy.

Over 300 characters and not a single one I can think of. She’s famous, folks.

Over 300 characters and many of them (excluding the ones she's known for) are episodic or bit parts. If you go to her BehindTheVoiceActors page they seem to have this obsession with cataloguing every one of her roles regardless or how small or minor it is.
