Most places here have anything like cardboard, plastic and glass picked up along with regular rubbish (separate bags and all that), I've never felt the need to burn a bunch of cardboard instead of merely throwing it the recycling/regular bin.

Well, because neighbors have been calling the county about it to report numerous backyard burns full of trash.


We can only see one report, because neighbors were instructed to phone the fire department and not the county - hence the recent (and apparently continued) calls to the local fire department. Hell, there have been calls to the county about the Onions burning cardboard in their home fireplaces on video since 2018.

I don't know about Greg"s neighborhood, but yes we have recycle pickup. And if you don't you set it out in the trash because burning cardboard is a big no-no.

In areas gurg lives has those services.
I lived on a ranch in far out boonies for years and we didn't have those services so we burned our shit or drove it to the dump to get it properly dealt with if we were gonna go to town for groceries etc. Gurg is just lazy and doesn't want to pay a small service fee.
