This seems strictly an Atlus USA issue. They hired a purity team to review anything that could be problematic and even brought their marketing team on it to help understand what is and isn't okay to say. We all know how dumb marketing is and it doesn't help that they're pretty much drowning in that flavor of Kool-Aid. Of course the director of that team is so very happy they can fix the issue. We're basically going back to the 90's where we had 4Kids level of incompetency.

If there is one deterrent for any rational human being to not join ResetEra ever is that it's only a matter of time until everyone on ResetEra gets doxxed.

The problem with their account registration system is that you need an email address provided by your ISP, college or university, place of work, or any other type of professional email address is required to sign up for ResetEra which is stupid because no other normal website even does this.

This poses a massive security and privacy problem because if some professional hacker decides to fuck with them by breaching their security then they will have access to countless email address containing real names, a good idea of where they all live, and other sensitive data too. While this system may give ResetEra far more control over their users, they're just asking for this to happen to them.

The golden rule of thumb to keep yourself anonymous as much as possible is to never link your online accounts to your personal email address because if a dox does happen then do expect to get trolled to oblivion by that point.

So just watch, ResetEra will do something that will really piss people off and then some hero hacker or a group of hero hackers will come in and then do the Internet a huge favor and put this shitty excuse of a video game forum in their place. And while I don't condone unethical hacking, this is simply the most realistic outcome that I can think of regarding ResetEra as people grow to loathe them more and more.

If you target the top 5 percent of users you can get a large amount of positive "grassroots" publicity at a very low cost (these motherfuckers will suck your dick for a free poster or DVD every couple of months), the amount of money that traditional advertising and promotion is fucking mind-boggling, social-media is a wet dream for this industry, in their wildest dreams, they would never have expected to get so much positive hype for so little cash.
