It's kinda a "Yes and No" for Fastiva/Ladiva. In Japanese, Fastiva uses "atashi", a feminine first person term mostly used by young females, the rest is gay feminine men or tranvestites (okama). I think Puri Puri Prisoner from One Punch Man and Mrs Hudson from Kabukichou Sherlock are another cases of this. Not the first time Japanese uses trope with muscular men being gay (think of Billy Herrington and Vansama) and effiminate. And combination with some old school Japaneses think gay men wanting to be women. Examples from an ero game (you probably hate yourself after looking at these): Chosen and Himiko from Koihime Muso.

Just going to give my perspective as someone who plays gbf and say that there's nothing wrong with Ladiva, they've done a lot in-game to develop her character into something really sweet and harmless, also not the weirdest character in game universe. Don't care about the dub actor though since playing a granblue game dubbed doesn't make any sense with the stellar JPN VA cast most actual players have gotten used to.
First guess is correct, in-game mechanics related to gender has Ladiva set as "Other" but for stuff like valentine events Ladiva gives chocolates like any of the other girls in-game. Ladiva isn't anything new to players of the main game but I could see people that only hear about the game through versus being annoying.
In a cross-fate with the character Cagliostro (honestly a much weirder character) they had this dialogue:

You know if there was ever an applicable use of the name "chalupacabra" to describe something, I would say that if nothing else it's quite appropriate for this creature. Maybe you wouldn't get called fat if you weren't filming yourself in a way that shows how your fat flabby face deforms against the pillow and lights up your double chin like it's on a theater stage.

Nah, this is just a virtue spiral, to quote a term from the anti-SJW MTG stuff back in the day, when Quartering was purged from a card game over the crime of saying he didn't think Cosplay Thots bring anything to the hobby. (They don't, but whores gonna whore and simps gonna simp.)
Basically, you don't get your tendies if you're just agreeing with the angry horde. Not really. In order to get asspats and the like, you have to stand out from the pack in some way. It's not good enough just to post that you're upset at Vic, oh no, you need to call cons and threaten them, then brag about it. Then you're REALLY doing something that is virtuous and worthy of praise, and surely asspats and tendies will come flowing in.
But what happens if someone else sees you get all those asspats and tendies for calling cons and harassing them and decides to do it too? Well, they get asspats and tendies, too, but neither of you get as much... until suddenly eveyrone's doing that, and no one's getting asspats and tendies anymore. The pack surges forward and that becomes the new baseline, that no one gets credit for doing. So you gotta think of something even more activisty to do to stand out from the pack.
Basically, the horde constantly drives themselves forward trying to prove that they're the most virtuous, the best activists of the group, which promptly leads them into lynch mob territory. In Thotgate, this resulted in the SJWs very rapidly throwing Quartering out of the hobby (while allowing literal child rapists to continue as staff in said hobby) and then... posting pictures they secretly took of his wife, contacting game stores he MIGHT have attended and making death threats, and threatening to kill The Quartering's wife's new kitten and burn down his house with her in it just to punish him. All for the crime of offending some cosplay whore on instagram.
You're seeing a similar thing with Vic, but it's slow and delayed, because he fought back (which scared off a lot of them) and because it's such a niche little subgroup, without any real public figures. No one cares who the fuck the 4th bulma is, not really, so there's very limited opportunities for randos on the internet to earn asspats and tendies for pretending to be outraged.
