Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I was referencing the last tweet in that Archive not the original. Seems like he is trying to avoid the fact he made an oopsie and now shifting to the 2AP cannot be cited since people pointed out his mistake.

Lol, nice pivot assclown. Like a cat falling into a bathtub and then acting like it was on purpose.

I mean its nice for Dumbfuck to basically say that Lemoine is also incompetent then by that same logic then. I mean why ask Chupp to strike the 2AP from the record if BHBC was not "allowed" to reference it in appeals or the Slatosch shenanigans? We know they will sell the Slatosch thing as "it was for sanctions" but really it was a way to get some discovery in for the appeals and hope they can change Slatosch's mind or catch him "lying".

@TiltdownDove I propose an image of Funimation HQ on fire in the background while Ty and Hsu walk towards the camera wearing the 8-bit "thug life" sunglasses for Nick's stream thumbnail. If they're displaying shit-eating grins then you get bonus points.
I had actually a rather similar idea, you'll see.

Also, why did Funimation not clarify or take down those tweets if thew were incorrect? There was no reason for them not to fix them.

Real talk, it's because Funimation's social media is probably ran by a true believer SJW who would have dragged their feet on that shit until it was too late.

Once they got evidence preservation letters they probably froze everything solid per their legal counsel.

did you forget Jamie's costs allegedly will be covered by a feminist org? This was made public around the time of that NPR propaganda piece IIRC.

No need for her to settle. In fact, she could maybe hire a much higher-powered firm.

IIRC, that Feminist Org is more of a marketing org. They don't fund lawsuits, they network and connect MeToo hoaxers with friendly media outlets to help amplify the hoax.

Funimation: "The additonal tweets weren't about Vic."

Interesting. Then why, pray tell, was your follow up tweet about "harassment" and "safe environments" shortly after tweeting that you fired Vic post your investigation?

Funimation: "😐......😠"

I'd say the bigger thing that'd fuck them is the whole agent thing. At no point when talk of someone being an agent or employee or acting on their behalf came up, did Funimation come up to shoot it down.

As a matter of fact I have almost been on a jury several times and gone through the process of selection. My point was that even random people brought in have a good chance of being convinced that Vic isn't guilty of what the defendants are saying about him especially considering how Sharon Grigsby and Chupp were charmed by him. I said that the only way someone wouldn't be able to be affected by Vic would be if they were already staunchly KickVic, not that they were actually going to get people like that on the jury.

Yeah, sorry. Was in the waning minutes of a lunch break. Too much to read today and too little time so to do it. I skimmed a bit. My fault for not reading more carefully.

If this succeeds, and Funi is back in, as SOON as legal notices hit Sony is when talks of settlement begin. Sony is willing to ignore this little legal squabble so long as it isn't likely to actually effect them. It going to Trial will effect them. At that point, its out of the true believers hands, and into a very irate Sony's hands.

In what way can Sony be effected, can you expand on that, please?

Several ways:

1: Funimation is a subsidiary of Sony, this means losing a judgement costs SONY.
2: Discovery is broad, painful, and very... open. Sony could easily see unfortunate facts revealed to the public through information subpoenaed to prove the case against Funimation.
3: Contrary to the saying, there is such a thing as bad press. Sony being revealed to house several monsters in Funimation is BAD press, especially in the #MeToo era, and would likely have a knock on effect to Sony's own shares.

Thank you for responding.

If it could cost Sony, what would it cost Funimation? Force them to settle? Sont breaks the business relationship? Other?

Sony forces them to settle is the obvious one. There isn't a business relationship here, Sony OWNS Funimation. So the more Optimistic view is that Sony might also gut Funimation of its shitflinging employees.

I am not that optimistic though, the only way that happens is if Funi somehow convinces them to NOT make them settle, and then Sony gets fucked in the process. One can dream though.

It's very 80s.
I like it.
The specific kinda "style" if you wanna find more stuff like it, is CMYK- which is the color gamut used in printing on paper. It's short for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (meaning Black/Grey/White, or whatever your "base" color was, 99% of the time it meant Black). It probably feels very 80s because that was the last decade everything was done on paper and not oriented for computer screens. Now your traditional Ad or art is in the sRGB gamut, and printed goods in Adobe RGB. Look at any old color ad and it'll have a lot of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black because those were the easiest/cheapest colors to print in.

Thanks again. Last question, could it be part of the legal strategy to rope in Sony as aggressively as possible, to force the situation as you stated or keep to the straight-forward route presented in the brief?

Can't say! Could it, yes. But I am an observer like anyone else here, so I can't really speak to what is likely. My knowledge is pretty firmly on the business and politics end here, not legal.
