It wasn't about money for Russ. He believed that if he sued Taylor and Arianna that they would have to personally appear before the court to defend themselves. And if he could be in the same room with them, force them to see him and hear them out, then he would be able to convince them to give him what he wanted (dates, money, sex, and a relationship). But Russell Greer is a moronic bumblefuck and didn't realize they're to busy and important to personally appear in small claims court in Utah, and so would hire a local lawyer to deal with Russ. Hell, he still can't comprehend that people like Taylor Swift and Arianna Grande have teams of people, including lawyers, to deal with the unimportant things in their life (like Russhole) for them so they can concentrate on the important stuff. The $7000 amount was only because it was the highest amount one can claim in small claims court in Utah.

It's a lot to him, and he can't conceive things are different for other people, so it's a lot to other people as well. AG and TS probably have $7000 in the change dish on their dresser.

Also, what the @The Dude said. He doesn't understand that, at most, AG was told "some idiot in Utah is suing you for some reason in small claims court. We've retained a local attorney to deal with the issue, it's nothing to worry about." Same deal with TS. Her team has been very careful to make sure Russ (or any stalker for that matter) doesn't feel like they've been validated or acknowledged. He's probably lying about the cease and desist from TS's camp because you know he would have posted it. Didn't he post the one from AG when her lawyers told him to not include her in his book, and he did anyway after barely changing the names?

I just noticed that Russel tagged The Daily Wire and The Daily Show along with all of the local stations. He has such an overinflated sense of self importance. Neither one of those national level shows (they're very different sizes, but they still have a national scope) feature novelty small claims suits from suburban Utah.

$7000 while nice isn't that much really to most people either. Afaik most people have a few thousand stashed for savings for things like security or rainy days, or are just saving up for something they want.

And if they did spend it, it generally wouldn't be the things russ wastes his money on.

I agree. Russell cannot comprehend how insignificant he is. He thinks that the song Taylor Swift did for one of the 50 shades movies was released to "cover up" his small claims lawsuit against her. Even disregarding that this was done by the movie studio and the release date was probably decided on months in advance without much, if any input from Taylor, this was a lawsuit that she won and most likely never even heard about, nor did anyone else. But Russell is thoroughly convinced that this was done to silence him. His ego or perhaps just his idiocy prevents him from realizing that no one really cares about what he thinks.

Sadly, that's not true. Over half of the population has less than one months worth of expenses in savings. People are teetering on the edge of fiscal oblivion. All it takes is one bad life event to tip that first domino.

He picked small claims court because the filing fee is super minimal. Thats why he complained so much when whatever court in Tenessee it was said he couldnt file in forma pauperis. Iirc the maximum claim at the time in scc was 7k.
