I read that as "Stop raising your child in a normal and functional environment".

I had never heard of them either until Billy started going on about them. Apparently it's some Instagram/Vlogger thing that started around 2010 and is only really a thing among the kind of social media types that are into this entire "share your entire life with the Internet" stuff. So my guess is it's mostly a thing among whiny SJWs because whiny SJWs and social media go hand in hand.

Kinda curious to know what Billy's reaction would be to learning that most people would never consider throwing a gender reveal party - instead they'd just tell people if they're having a boy or a girl.
Yeah dumbass trust fund hipster shit is far from the societal norm, but LaBelle wouldn't know that because he falls into that category.

Looks like Sophie is a time traveler from some cyberpunk dystopian future, is that just me?

I would appreciate if someone would make a Terminator edit of this, I would but I don’t have the font

There you go, more original content than Sophie has made in a while,
I'm sorry.

High effort, low quality for my first edit in this thread.

Got home from work, so even though @CivilianOfTheFandomWars made a great edit wanted to try my hand at what I was envisioning.

I haven't seen any of the Terminator movies, sue me. Dialogue should be acceptable for Terminator fans though.

Far as I understood the gender reveal started as part of baby showers. Like a party game where guests guessed if the baby is a boy or a girl. Then some got the idea that you could be dramatic and/or creative while filming the reveal and eventually some went viral. That inspired others to go bigger and so gender reveals got be their own thing.

I think gender reveals are silly but I still kinda like them. Don't get me wrong making whole party about it is over doing it but making a special cake, buying balloons or something like that is fine in my books. Most parents are eager to find out the gender, many consider it be one of the important mile stones during pregnancy and if they want to add little extra with that I see no problem.

Uhh, yeah. They kind of did.
The kid gets born, the parents see what bits it has, and then go from there. As the kid would grow, it would need different clothes and such. Then they would get more 'gendered' stuff as they got bigger. When a baby is really young, most of the stuff is pretty gender-neutral, like a basic neutral-colored onesie.
At least in my experience.

The old custom was simply to announce the birth as "It's a girl" or "It's a boy" and give out cigars.
Maybe have a party, but the sex was already determined at birth and announced up front.

I'm getting the impression the recent custom of gender reveal parties and having more gendered clothing earlier are reactions to gender politics.
