Producing child pornography should of course stay illegal, however making the act of viewing CP without producing it or distributing it legal has been proven to reduce child sex abuse rates in every country that has adopted this model. Of course, many people are actually against pedophiles rather than against child abuse, so they will not even consider such models, although it is objective to say their refusal to do so leads to more children being sexually abused.

Everybody thinks the age of consent where they live is fair despite the fact that the range is 9-21 across the world. It is very similar to a religion, nobody really has much objective evidence and they usually fall victim to the is-ought fallacy.

But the act of producing cp is in and of itself abusive and exploitative to children. You say that you are against child abuse but want the production of cp to continue? You do see the logical inconsistency here right?
