If there is a definitive line between being a whacko leftist and a whacko leftist extremist, it is this. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand opposes a bill that would stop people from killing babies after they’ve been born. This has a fancy name “infanticide” but it’s straight up murder to kill a human being who has been born. Liberals can argue about whether a baby in the womb is a human or a clump of cells, but there is no argument once the baby has been born. The democrats think that being the party of post-birth abortion is a winner for 2020. They are wrong. The Senate voted on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act Tuesday, which would require medical personnel to give aide to a baby born alive after surviving an abortion attempt. In other words, it stops abortionists from killing living babies outside of the womb. This shouldn’t be controversial, but it is because liberals are f*cking horrible people.CNN described this as an “abortion restriction” bill. It doesn’t restrict abortion, it just keeps ghouls from killing living babies. But then again, this is the way CNN characterized the bill:…[the bill] would require abortion providers to work to “preserve the life and health” of a fetus that was born following an attempted abortion as they would for a newborn baby, or face up to five years in prison.A fetus that was born? You mean like a baby? Holy crap.Hi, my name is Brian Anderson and I’m a 50-year-old fetus who thinks this is utter bullshit. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act was defeated in a 53-44 vote because again democrats are shit people.Speaking of which, here’s one now:

“This s part of President Trump and Mitch McConnell’s all-out assault on women. They’re trying to harm women. They’re trying to take away their civil rights, their human rights, the ability to make the most important intimate decisions of their lives. They’re taking away their religious freedom. They’re taking away their moral freedom,” said Gillibrand.

This is one of the most f*cked up things anyone has ever said, and that means a lot considering how awful democrats are. Where do we start?

As was mentioned, the bill only stops abortion doctors from killing live babies. How does that harm women? Half of the babies would be female so if anything it helps women.

It is Gillibrand’s position that women have a Constitutional right to kill their babies after they are born, which is preposterous. No such civil right exists. Also, killing babies after they are born isn’t a woman’s human right, but it is a human rights violation against the baby who would be murdered.

It’s an intimate decision to make a baby but the decision to kill one after it’s born is called murder.

Maybe the craziest thing Gillibrand said was that stopping women from killing their babies who have been born is stepping on their religious freedoms. What religion? Satanism? I’m certain that the 1st Amendment doesn’t protect human sacrifice.

Finally, Gillibrand calls murdering a live baby “moral freedom” but in reality, murder is the result of a lack of morality. She literally got everything wrong in defense of baby killing.

44 democratic senators, including Gillibrand, are now on the record supporting infanticide thanks to this vote. I’m sure this will come up as some of these liberal monsters seek reelection in November. It’s going to have to be an incredibly solid blue state for a senator promoting killing live babies to keep his or her seat.

I--I think they're trying to save women from being aborted post-birth, Gillibrand.

Anyways, this feels like a "foot-in-the-door" bill that would make it easier to have other bills along its agenda to be passed. Either that, or a "no-brainer" bill whose greater purpose is to expose (or attempt to expose) the bigotry/depravity of its dissidents. Despite that, it seems like a pretty important stipulation to have... but now I wonder if this was an issue.

Also, [sensible chuckle] at Gillibrand saying that Trump and Cocaine Mitch are trying to take away the religious freedoms of women through these bills-- "I'm sorry, but you are not allowed to offer your children to Moloch on American soil... and you probably shouldn't, ever."

I'm still confused. What is the rate of live birth after an abortion procedure? Is it really high enough that this law should even come up?
*Edit*- spell. Also, what the Hell is a 50 year-old fetus?
iirc there's been a state-level laws codifying rules one way or another about this sort of thing lately, and like so many other things of the past few years the dems have jumped as hard as possible at the chance to find yet another way to look like a bunch of fucking psychos

Virginia's governor wants to make it legal.

it seems to be about 1% .
"A healthy fetus becomes viable — potentially able to survive outside the womb — at about 24 weeks of pregnancy. Only about 1.3 percent of abortions in the United States in 2015 were performed in or after the 21st week of pregnancy, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Less than 1 percent of all abortions are done after 24 weeks, and many are performed because the fetus has a fatal condition or the pregnant woman’s life or health is at severe risk.
If an abortion is performed at 20 weeks or later, a drug may be injected to stop the fetal heartbeat before the fetus comes out of the womb, Dr. Grossman said. In other cases, suction devices and other instruments end the fetus’s life before it is removed, he said"-Dr. Daniel Grossman,

I'm not seeing that 1% quoted anywhere in the article. But, I must be really tired. Night.

I've seen this argument gone from "only cases of rape and incest" To "when it could harm the mother" to "when it is needed" to "for whatever reason up to the second trimester" then the third then after being born." I'm sick of this slippery slope can we just fucking hit the bottom where children aren't considered humans anymore.
