The idea of suppressing information about a security issue (even before it's been resolved) is considered a bad security practice (security through obscurity is not security). Full disclosure is a common practice in the infosec world as a method to protect those affected as well as resolve the security issue in the first place. When you withhold that information, you're actually protecting the ESA, not the people on the list. People who engage in "ethical disclosure" are profiteers and grifters.
Kiwi Farms has provided the victims of the ESA a direct service. We should be thanked by gamejournos for resolving this issue for them. It's unsurprising the smooth-brains don't understand this.
