Over a 100 cases in Germany now. You can't stop it anymore. I guess I'll have to run some errands on Monday just to be on the safe side.

was doing my usual weekend grocery shopping and everything looked way more empty than usual. later on heard the cashiers the day was crazy, after I asked them they said people have been buying hoards of stuff. and that was a small town in kinda bumfuck nowhere.

EDIT:
What is it with Berlin and former DDR? There are bound to be some cases, at least in Berlin.

berlin is a shithole, no one goes there if he doesn't have to. eastern germany is full of those dumb nazis.

I'm in bumfuck nowhere, too and like I said in my post before everything was quite today and I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary from friends and family who lived further away. I assume it will look different on Monday. Or maybe it depends on the region.

closer to a bigger cluster, which might explain it.
still, absolutely nothing in eastern germany is interesting, area's getting more attractive by the day...

Fuck, I just deleted a big huge sperg about the Prophecy of the Popes so I wouldn't get bitchslapped by the mods. Just know that the Prophecy is very likely a piece of shit.

I was worried that the media would hammer home the WE'RE ALL GONNA FUCKING DIE FROM CORONACHAN OMGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111" sperging until the entire fucking country raced to Costco and Walmart and stripped the shelves bare in imitation of those shitty disaster movies that used to be popular. Other posters have said that it's boomers going apeshit, the same generation that remembers The Day After and other 70s and 80s disaster movies where people race to the stores and just knock stuff into their carts willynilly with their arms.

If there is suddenly a massive traffic jam in every big city in America as all the boomertards try to flee to the countryside, you fucking own this motherfucker, CNN et al! Trump already hates your fucking guts, if you fuckers cause a mass panic the God Emperor is gonna haul your asses into court and then lock you away for a VERY FUCKING LONG time.

You wanna create a disaster so you can report on it in order to increase your ad budgets, you should remember a line from one of Glenn Beck's shitty novels: "What they all forgot was, once you unleash pandemonium onto the world you can't just easily whistle it back into the box."

It’s not the boomers so much as the younger millennias and zoomers. They have never experienced something like this before. My first job was as the Y2K nonsense started up hard, and my sister panics over everything, so I am used to being the level headed one.

Shit has hit the fan at the long term care facility in Kirkland, WA, a 70yr old woman is in critical condition and a 40yr old care worker is in stable...both are positive. 27 residents and 25 staff have symptoms.

But the numbers are coming down, 15 people recovering!

Looking forward to this day next week when everything’s blown over and people realize they were duped into hysteria by the media.

Anybody remember the panic over the tiny headed baby virus during the Brazilian olympics? Or the negro spit plague? Enjoy your canned fruit.
People say this all the time, this isnt a hot take.
But it does suck for the folks who it IS affecting.

NRW here, so much closer to the biggest cluster, which might explain it.

Oh boy, I hope you stay safe.

Just now, I was thinking really hard if I know anyone in East Germany and who'd like a prolonged visit, but I don't know anyone. I guess I'll stay here and only leave the house if I have to.

Except this shit has infected more people, more countries at a faster rate then those two combined. Ebola killed more so far, and zika was really only dangerous if you're a pregnant woman. This has a higher transmission rate then the normal flu, along with a higher death rate. The biggest problem is the people who need to be hospitalized is 20 percent. The cdc predicts upwards of 80 percent of the world could be infected by this meaning what a billion people will need medical attention. Not something the worlds healthcare systems can handle. That's not accounting for the reinfection, that affects 14 percent. And is way worse the second time.

Ah yes this time last week when it was supposed to blow over this week, or is that next week or maybe the week after that?

Fucking Y2K, I almost literally committed suicide over that shit. I wonder how many young Xers (which was me) actually DID kill themselves. Pound the drums of WE'RE 100% GUARANTEED DOOMED THE EXPERTS AGREE!!!!!!!!!1111 for two whole years and people start looking for the exits off the planet. The zoomers already believe that they have no future, throw in the coronachan panic and they'll start killing themselves en masse.

I just returned from the last of my prepping shopping trip. Thankfully there's a discount store so I was able to stock up on tons of canned goods, dried foods and water for a low price. The hand sanitizer and gloves were all gone, but from what I noticed nobody in the store was panic buying and the store hasn't been cleaned out and there was lots to go around.

I'm glad I could get all the food when nobody is reacting.

I'm not going to be going to my usual church tomorrow, because it's close to where one of the new cases popped up. The head pastor did send out an email saying that greeting time, communion, and evening meal are going to be skipped, and that the daycare rooms were going to be thoroughly sanitized, but kids are too effective of a disease vector for me to take a chance.
