A couple of thoughts about the current state of the Dem race.

1. This thing is headed for a contested convention, for sure. If Bernie doesn't get the nomination, for any reason, Milwaukee is going up in flames. Right now the Fire Chief and Police Chief are probably sending emails out saying vacations the week of the convention have been cancelled. Do the Dems expect to still carry Wisconsin if the Bernie Bros go crazy?

2. Biden will take PAC money, Bloomberg can self fund. But Bernie is gonna run out of money trying to get the nomination. Since he refuses to take money from billionaires, his only source of funding is gender studies graduates working at Starbucks. Most of them will run out of money to donate in the primaries and far before the $2800 max. And then if he does get the nomination? Trump's massive war chest will bury him with spending in the general.

3. I think Bloomberg actually shored up Biden's support. Once Sleepy Joe started to look not just shaky, but extremely shaky, a lot of his support fled. But after Mini Mike got demolished in his first debate and all the oppo research on him came out, plus Biden's relatively lively debate this week, a lot of people said to themselves, 'It's Biden or nothing.' So I think that shopping around kinda solidified his support.

4. All the Pocahontas fans impressed with her attack on Bloomberg the other day are kidding themselves. They somehow think that proves she would be a formidable opponent for Trump. Yet the 'you said bad things about women' attack that ended Bloomberg is the exact same attack that Trump already proved he can avoid with the famous 'Only Rosie O'Donnell' line. Trump has already beaten her best attack. I do hope they put her up at the convention as a unity candidate though.

5. Clearly Trump is highly favored by God.

lol good! nobody cared about you anyway. at least you dropped out before gabbard, who is more worthy staying in the race for now, will

seven democrats left

Yeah, he dropped out because his support was strongest in South Carolina, and he still lost. I'll take Sleepy Joe and loved by Chapotards Bernie over a person who flip-flops his argument based on the current trends.

One down.

2 to go.

i honestly feel bad for gabbard; had this been any other election, she probably would've won the nomination, if not the presidency. problem is she is too normal for this race.

Null must hate this thread, he told the spergs to keep all of the 'Coronavirus will end Trump' in here. *sigh*
Well, it really depending on how bad the situation becomes. The worse the outbreak evolves globally, the worse the US economy become, which will bode ill for his re-election chances. If the outbreak explodes exponentially like in South Korea, Italy and Iran, it will push healthcare to the forefront of the agenda and it will help the Democrat, whoever that may be.

The only way it doesn't hurt him is if it does die in the warming, sunnier conditions in the months ahead, where he can lord it over his opponents.

I'd be assassinating Bloomberg. He's going to start splitting the Biden vote, which isn't a good thing if you don't want Bernie to win.

Biden won South Carolina because of the Southern black vote, and since multiple Southern states are in the running on Super Tuesday, I think Biden will make some more gains there and get ahead.

Bloomberg is the one candidate in the running that the black community hates more than Bernie, since at least Bernie actively pushes for gibs and doesn't have scandals like Stop and Frisk attached to him like Bloomberg does.

My best guess is that Amy and Warren will probably drop out after Super Tuesday depending on how well they do in certain states (I could see Warren making a surprise win in California), while Bernie and Biden will be going until the convention in Milwaukee, while I could see Buttigieg staying in as a backup in case Biden's health declines.

The only state I could see Bloomberg winning on Super Tuesday is Virginia, mainly because he's spent the last decade and a half bankrolling the Virginia Democrats and making the former Bible Belt stronghold turn into a solid blue state, and even then, Biden could get the win if the black voter turnout is high enough.

The big question for Super Tuesday in 2020 is California, since it has a fuckton of delegates and is a very left-wing state. If Bernie wins California, that could be a major problem for the DNC, possibly leaving the brokered convention as their only option.

It's also the one major Super Tuesday state that I think Warren could win, especially if the DNC goes above and beyond to ratfuck Bernie, since it will be extremely close.

Personally, I think the DNC will bankroll Warren as much as possible for the California primaries to split the votes that would otherwise go for Bernie.

If it's not firmly in the rear view mirror by the election there's bigger problems than the election.

I feel like I just clicked into a bizarre alternate reality. Biden has online supporters?

What effects the coronavirus may have is the only potential wild card for this election. I see nobody in the current Dem field that stands a reasonable chance of beating an incumbent president with a good economy to his credit. If the economy tanks due to COVID 19 then maybe someone like Sanders might have a shot, but then again, Sanders still has certain problems related to precisely how he plans on paying for all the various free things he wants to give people.

Oh and if we get a contested convention then that's it for the Dems in 2020, the people who voted for the candidate that got screwed over simply won't show up to vote in the general election in November.

I'm telling you faggots that Bernie's going to win this. Lemme spoil the rest of 2020 for ya:
  • Bunch of economic shit happens because of Coronavirus scare (plausible, my school already cancelled all Chinese study abroad programs this summer)
  • Aforementioned virus turns out to be a cheeseburger without a patty, cheese, or condiments; it's too late to unfuck the economy, though
  • Meanwhile, Bernie wins the primaries
  • Bernie beats Trump amid a new economic recession
It's the perfect anime plot twist.

Nah, anime plot twists and reality are two different things. The way it looks now, Bernie may well get ratfucked in the primary and never even make it to the general election.

Aside from what @XYZpdq said, it also makes his points on not relying on China and closed borders. Hell, unless this is Captain Trips, it is going to fuck the democrats for pushing open borders and globalization.
