TERFs on this forum have a habit of saying that "you never see any older F2Ms/TIFs", so I thought I'd post this video:
This F2M apparently transitioned in the 1990s. She claims that she knew what stone butches were after reading about them in a book written by a homosexual DJ, and based on what she read in that book she dis-identified from the stone butch label because she thought stone butches were "lesbian women who dress up like men and have sex with women but don't want anyone to have any sex with them" - which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard about masc lesbians but anyway. The implication here is that her main way of distinguishing the two groups is to claim that butches don't have a sex life but F2Ms do - just pointing this out for all the TERFs who swear up and down that transitioning is only a sexual fetish for M2Fs. Clearly there's a subset of F2Ms for whom transitioning was sexually driven. These women thought they couldn't have a sex live as an "ugly" masculine/butch woman and figured they'd at least get dick/pussy as "better looking" transmen. TERFs really need to stop being in denial about women who want to become men for sexual reasons. Some "ugly" masculine women do transition because they think they will look more palatable as transmen and will have an easier time getting laid as transmen. Those are sexually driven transitions too (so fuck all the TRAs saying "sexuality has nothing to do with gender"), and those F2Ms are autoandrophiles. Yes, they might not be as pushy as AGPs, but still, gender is game they play to get sex.
Whose saying that here? what? I disagree. Usually it is that they're not as common as the reverse but you need only look at Buck Angel to know that older FTMs exist. It's acknowledged in this thread constantly that even though we all know of FTM they're not as bold, brash, annoying or common because 90% of them were socialized female, behave like females, and you can't just take hormones to make you undue that. I'd wager that they're far more like to desist from transitioning too.
FTM are often as a result of abuse or other factors yes, but there's very very few troons of any of the various labels who don't transition for anything other than sex. It's a massive motivator for the bulk of them, especially those of the current movement. It's not just an I hate my Body thing even for those who're genuinely dysphoric. It's an I feel different than everyone around me and don't fit in, I'm not the normal, and as a result I think that transition will make me normal- I won't be an outsider and will have relationships like normal people if I do this (sex included).
