Well, time to repeat DO NOT TAKE COUNSEL OF YOUR FEARS. Yes, there are cases. But there have been many, many more cases of the "regular" flu, and many, many more deaths.

We have about 235 cases here in the USA, out of a country of about 340 million people. Think. And this virus seems to target elderly people, as well as people with certain already existing conditions. Odds of the average KFer getting this virus are rather low.

Our medical system is a quantum leap better than China's. The utility infrastructure is better than China's.

Use common sense. Wash hands, try to avoid crowds, pay attention to your body.

Just had a thought. Who is whipping up the hysteria? Why? How do they benefit from people freaking out? Think about that.

For my part, am not freaking out, and am much more at risk for this due to age and health issues than most here. I'll be out there tomorrow morning doing my walk. I have a life to live. So do you. I had to take a family member to Urgent Care tonight. While waiting for them to come out, was talking with the receptionists. They mentioned it's been hard for their office to get supplies and people have been stealing their hand sanitizers and face masks. I don't live in the ghetto. I live in pretty nice suburban america. DENVER (KDVR) – Two "presumptive positive" cases of the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Colorado, Gov. Jared Polis said Thursday afternoon.
According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the first patient is an out-of-state man in his 30s. He was visiting Summit County.
The man spent time in Italy in mid-February, Polis said. One of his travel companions during that trip tested positive for the virus.
On Feb. 29, the man flew to Denver International Airport, rented a vehicle and traveled to a condo in Summit County. He did not show symptoms at the time, Polis said.
The governor said the man was in Summit County for outdoor activities, but could not say whether he visited ski resorts.
The man was spending time with his fiancee and two friends. The friends are Denver residents.
The friends and fiancee are currently in quarantine.
On March 3, the man developed symptoms and went to Saint Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco.
Polis said the man was later taken via private vehicle to a hospital in the Denver metro area so he could be at a lower elevation.
The man is in isolation and will remain there until cleared by public health officials.
Officials did not say which hospital in the Denver area he is receiving treatment at, but it is in Jefferson County.
