I guess she might endorse Biden now.

There are people who still believe Bernie could win and the fix wasn't Biden from before the start.

I think they were as intelligent. Biased as hell and untruthful, but still just as intelligent. Keep in mind, that's relative intelligence, not absolute intelligence.

They may have always thought wet streets caused rain, but so did the average person. But we're now at a point where the journos still think wet streets cause rain, while the average person would point at the clouds and say, 'Nah, man. I think the rain is coming from up there.'

I really don't think so, I think the issue is that now we have the ability to check their facts and assumptions before they even publish/go on air.
It makes them look retarded when some stoned asshole in his basement can debunk their lies/mistakes while they are still forming on Twitter but the talking heads on the news still parrot it.
Stupid? Liars? Both?
I haven't see much of a change in the media and the way they 'report' over the last few decades, but I have seen the general public learning more about their logical fallacies and sheer inability to be accurate.

Playing devil's advocate here, I can't fault Stelter for saying "no comment from CNN." Generally speaking, you shouldn't act like you're speaking on behalf of your employer unless you're specifically employed to do so.

Also, this is now a civil matter.

What's the first rule of civil litigation? Shut up

What's the second rule? Shut the FUCK up

Anyone with two brain cells know the instant you get sued, anything and everything you do, but more importantly, say, will be presented in the most negative light possible to build the case against you.

This proves my point of why a lot of social media and in this case online communities in the west just suck.

Now here is the thing. I sill think TV Tropes is a good website to discover themes and tropes about pop culture but sadly its community is garbage.

It's sad too because I learned a lot about pop culture from that website but too bad that the community is shit and there is a reason why they even have a thread on Kiwi Farms that features their dumb antics as well.

Like Wikipedia, it's a great place to go for just general topical info on a whole host of things, and is best used as a jumping-off point for better research by investigating cited sources.

But, the "community" is an open septic pit that has nothing to offer except slow death from a thousand forms of virulent bullshit.

Also, fucking lol at that idiot not understanding why people thought Fauxcahontas was insincere. Oh gee, could it be the fact she lied about being an Indian so she could become a professor at Harvard? Trump may stretch the truth sometimes (though I don't think nearly as maliciously as the media pretends, often just exaggerating for effect or to get them to fall for the "discuss what you don't really want to" trap for the umpteenth time), but when she ran that DNA test and came out whiter than the average white person, she pretty much torpedoed her campaign. People aren't as dumb as lefties think they are. They remembered that whopper of a lie, and added to her shrill personality and wishy-washy answers on policy questions, it's no wonder she failed everywhere, even in her own state.

I actually saw people in the facebook comments about her dropping out the race saying this was all a lie made up by evil misogynists... The info is out there people it's not hard to find, not like showing it to those types is actually going to change anything. Probably just political ops people anyway.

As if we needed more proof that 21st Century IDPOL is more akin to religion.....

Yet, they've somehow managed to move away from calling everything yellow a bulldozer.

Did they or do they just rarely talk about construction equipment.

Well, when you're in rebellion against God the only thing left to worship is Man.

I need to find the study but there is a part of the brain that fires off in regards to religous iconagraphy and when the person is an atheist it is fired off when you view either political or brand iconography. To put it in laymens terms it's why certain people will treat a party or a brand as a religion. I could go on for hours on this but to sum it up this was pioneered by steve jobs who based Apples marketing campaigns off of research he did on cults and the highly religious. It's why you can still find apple fanboys who will defend the Iphone or why bugmen will cry to a trailer to a film.

They insta-ban people that disagrees with them.

The absolute worst part is if Obama had done that in response to a bad Pandemic they would be frothing at the mouth to Kiss King Obama's boots.

Yet they call trump supporters cultists

There's more to being stupid than wrong facts and assumptions. There's also the lack of common sense. Bloomberg's ad with the cricket noises in the background was obviously parody. Five years ago that would be understood. No journalist would claim it's disinformation and that average people might not be able to tell it was edited.

But now, yeah, they're that stupid. Thinking the rubes and deplorables are so stupid they need to be protected from "disinformation" is stupidity in itself.

They lost control of the stupid people ever since the stupid people started thinking for themselves. Now the stupid people have become a threat because they will no longer mindlessly follow something.

Especially when what qualifies as "disinformation" is anything that's been edited...... a jump cut? "Candidate "A" did not teleport into the past, change his arm positions, and then teleport back into the present. The apparent instantaneous changing of his arm position was due to frames being cut out of the feed"

"A ten foot billboard that says "CANDIDATE A 2020" was not placed in front of the camera at the end of the speech, this was a digitally-created after effect that was added in post production. No such huge billboard actually exists".

"Patrick the Starfish did not actually cry in response to the apparent stupidity of Candidate "A" as show in this meme, Patrick is an animated character in the Spongebob Universe and does not actually exist in real life"

Yeah, she try her luck for being the VP nominee but that ship has sailed.

Warren has a secure senate seat (Well, secure as long as Biden doesn't try to steal it, LOL) and is on a lot of big committees and subcommittees. She is not going to trade that for second banana.

Speaking of Warren's speech, daily reminder that Tulsi is still in the race, doesn't have complete moonbat opinions, but while Elizabeth is bleating about the importance of Women in leadership in positions and sexism in the race, she does not endorse Tulsi, A woman.
Really makes you think.

It's a libel suit, there's next to no chance that CNN is going to get in trouble with the case or that they'll let it change how they do their coverage.

They'll do the usual journoshit of saying that nothing they say was meant to be interpreted as a fact and that everyone is insane for thinking otherwise, then after they win they'll pronounce on their outlet that they stood up for the truth against the bad orange man.

Still not the worst idea for the Trump campaign to do these lawsuits against different outlets since it then requires them to state they were just opinions rather than facts, since they can at least cite the cases as evidence that all these outlets are just spouting their personal opinions the way a lot of people on the left state Fox news is an entertainment outlet because of how they argued that case years ago.

Watching the coronavirus stuff is so weird because the TDS sufferers seem absolutely determined to insist we're all going to die in this plague, just because it would make orange man look bad in their minds if we did. Like I'm used to these sorts of people being teflon-coated when it comes to facts and logic, but watching them bend the numbers trying to keep up the portrayal of it as some kind of supervirus that's more communicable than the common cold and more fatal than AIDS and cancer combined is just fucking wild. It literally dies if you wash your fuckin' hands with soap, but they're all going on about it like it's a Sci-Fi Channel original movie called Sneezing Death, and to all appearances they think this purely because they want to blame Trump for it.

It's really dumb too, since while it is pretty spread happy as a virus (needing more specialized gear to avoid infection than a normal flu or cold), its lethality is aimed at the elderly or kids, and even then 2% is the worst it can do and that can be partially countered just by being out in the sun or drinking fortified miIk or OJ or something like that. In fact, that lethality is more due to your immune system tard panicking and shotgunning your body than the virus.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty gnarly, but it's not a world ender.

I almost think they're desperate for the end of the world because they feel the desire to die while being smugly proven right, you know, the same mindset as a millenarian doomcult that screams how Nbiru will end us via lizardman invasions on the mayan calendar date that just means you reset the fucking thing?

It seems more like them venting as usual and compensating for their inability to politically take the "Orange-man" down.

It's honestly this for a lot of areas. People hate when their perception of the world gets smashed or even slowly eroded, so you'll see a lot of mentions of 'wanting the world to end'. It's much akin to the fools who cried for the world to end because Bush Junior was considered the worst president ever at the time, they just update who the boogieman is that is bringing it on.

Covid's not going to kill the world or be egg on the face of the evil orange man as they wish. It won't stop them from trying to spread misinformation or vitriol.
