Josh Moon was regularly banned from the 'Blockland' forum, (a forum for players of the eponymous game), for a number of extreme and inappropriate remarks including threatening to murder another female user, anally rape her, dismember her and then leave her to die[8][5][9]. He also fantasised about murdering his mother with a steak knife[10][11]. In addition Moon linked to, and said he enjoyed, 'Neko Shota' Hentai, and said he enjoyed masturbating over depictions of young boys[5][12].
Subsequently, Joshua Moon went to work for 8Chan.net, a site at that time well known for explicitly and by policy allowing discussions of paedophilia[13][14] provided they fell within United States law. The site was also known for allowing links to other sites with illegal material. In late 2015 8chan was removed from the Google index for a period on the grounds of 'suspected child abuse content'[15][16]. After Moon's dismissal and a new owner, 8chan was cleaned up. The new owner banned the paedophile sub-forums and it became a respectable site.
Kiwi Farms has been removed from several hosting companies due to terms of service violations, including Linode, Gandi.net and Digital Ocean. One company, France based Gandi.net, specifically stated that it had found child pornography illegal under French law (left)[5][8].
Moon also started a new image board called 16chan to rival his former customers at 8chan. The site rules explicitly allowed "child fetishism" provided it was limited to text-only, paedophile specific boards[17]. The rules also stated that, "drawn images" were permissible unless drawn in the likeness of a real child. As a result, paedophiles opened a sub-board called, /Phile/ which hosted such material including a story about a 5-year-old boy being abducted, wounded with a knife, and raped to death through the wound[18]. In 2016, 16chan closed due to lack of interest.
Moon's website has held a vote as to whether to target underage children, approved that as policy and then openly carried it out, for example by targeting the 5-year old son of extreme-left academic Marian Aanerud[5][6], archiving and posting his pictures. Whilst the pictures archived were only family photos, the sinister targeting of a completely innocent child is indicative of the general behaviour and attitudes of site members.

Hi there newfriend, and thanks for your honest take on us but I think you might have read us wrong. Nobody here is looking to be a comedian or make funny content for an audience. None of us care about entertaining twitter, none of us care about entertaining you, none of us even care about entertaining each other. We're here to entertain ourselves, first and foremost, and any 'comedy' you might find on this website comes at the expense of the minorities and eccentrics that we gawk at. We don't care about writing snarky reviews on D&D corebooks or making zany all-lower-text nonsequitor tweets for weird twitter, or whatever the fuck else passes as hilarious content where you're from. If that's your bag, you're welcome to it, and we're not trying to take it away from you or appeal to you as any kind of an audience for our garbage posts. We're just pieces of shit and bullies who congregate to point and laugh at the unfortunate, and our only concept of comedy gold is watching the suffering and misery of other people.
If you want to slide on in here with us and laugh at lowtax getting divorce-raped and losing custody of his kids, you're very welcome. Nobody expects you to try and ape the posting styles here or try to fit into some 'insular parasocial' forum culture. We're inclusive and welcoming to all types, from all walks of life, and one of my favourite things about this place is watching people with monstrously incompatible lifestyles and backgrounds and political ideologies rubbing shoulders in friendship and harmony . But, if you're not the type to find anything humorous in revelling over the misfortunes of another person, then I can see why this forum might not hold any appeal to you, and I wish you the best of luck in finding your next troupe of wacky-zany internet comedians or whatever else it is you were looking for when you stumbled across us.
