I was on vacation for a couple of days and I missed a lot of it, but I guess some drama went down late last week or over the weekend.

I am not up to speed, but I think Cory lashed out at the OSI admins because they didn't moderate the comments on his OSI candidate page to the standards and timeliness that he has grown accustomed to. I imagine the reason was that since they are an understaffed group of volunteers acting in good-faith focused mainly on open source advocacy, they probably weren't prepared for having to deal with a provocative, self-centered, narcissistic, power hungry, carpet-bagging parasite who is very publicly attempting to subvert their elections in a naked power grab. Fuck them right!?

He did later apologize. Of course, what's an apology if not a veiled attempt to paint yourself as the real victim.

In other news, ESR -- a character in his on right, and OG OSI co-founder -- showed up on the mailing list, and possibly got banned, resulting in a blog post.

Cory in a move right out of the typical playbook avoided any discussion of actual ideas and went straight for the the racism card.

My understanding is that the election should wrap up on the 20th so I guess we'll see what happens.

Honestly, I have no issue with Ethical Source being a thing. If people want to adopt it, advocate for it, build a community around it and possibly test it in the courts they are absolutely free to do so but doing it this way is gross and despicable, and Cory knows it.

I checked state of illinois voter registration with the info in the pastebin and it failed to verify. I tried looking up business registration but the search function for Illinois SoS is garbage so I'd need the name of a company- I just assumed that he probably has one, but I'm not sure. Getting a current address would be tough without one or the other.
