Okay, that is quite true with all. Its harder to track down who got the virus, just because of how easily you can spread when infected. But yet, the matter still is that furries are continuing their cons while not making second thoughts and going to give each other with COVID-19 without knowing.

I'm anticipated what will happen at /or after Furnal Equinox. I don't know if this convention has many attendees in general but something will happen. Can only say lucky it's not Eurofurence or Anthrocon right now...things could go even uglier.

Looks like they were about 2200 last year, so this will be interesting. Their Twitter is now saying that they WILL do refunds, but the con is on... .for now.

If refunds are enabled, then there will be definitely a drop in visitors but this will not change much. I'm still surprised that FE is not rescheduling or canceling at this point and only giving an "it's gonna be fine" as a tweet.

There is still hope though. Some cities and states are putting in emergency public gathering bans which include sporting events. Washington State and San Francisco have banned public gatherings, and Ohio is rapidly heading towards the same. Sporting events are being held behind closed doors with no crowd and conferences are taking place remotely.

Some furries in Ohio are now in panic mode because Anthrohio takes place in May and the ban might still be in place then. The con hasn't shut down from this yet, but some Ohio furries are already asking.

Furry Weekend Atlanta is a 5k+ con and less than two months out (May 7th, looks like). That's another one to keep an eye on. It's worth noting that Further Confusion were it to be held now instead of six weeks or whatever ago, wouldn't have happened.

"Who is Susan Deer?", you may ask. Good question! So far as I can tell, 'she's a washed up has been' seems to be the answer. She's "known" for a 'slice of life' comic strip - based on her real life, which kind of bit her in the ass like it did that chick that wrote 'For Better Or Worse', because Sue also got divorced- and one that she hasn't updated since like, 2007 or so and that no one ever read anyways. Other than being a con staffer, she never really seemed to do anything in the fandom and certainly hasn't shown up on anyone's radar since she stopped updating her comic near a decade ago.

Oh, she was known for one other thing in the early days of the furry fandom ... and its that she has huge tits.

Seriously, every reference I ever saw to Sue, back to when she was actually ever mentioned by anyone at all, was usually in a Jim Groat 'West Corner of the Park' cartoon where the entire joke was 'wow, Susan Deer has big boobs, just like Red Shetland'.

Here's a screenshot of the announcement at anthrocon.org. With how it points to a blaise Wikifur page, a Livejournal that's years out of date, and her dead comic and its late 90's website, it's just.... sad. It's like an old Babylonian tablet, or something.
