it was already past the containment phase when world leaders decided that money was more important than their citizens lives and let flights keep coming and going across the globe.

An office-wide email went out with some helpful advice re: staying safe and healthy under the current circumstances. “Stay the fuck home if you don’t feel well” is not on the list of tips.

Our receptionist went on a store run for additional sanitizer and cleaning supplies for the office and the shelves were stripped bare. Toilet paper was gone, too. There are rumors of people stealing complimentary sanitizer bottles off store/office counters and looting wetwipe containers, stuffing the contents into their jacket pockets.

Everything is fine. Everything is wonderful.

Just spray Lysol disinfectant on stuff that you are concerned about. Spray thoroughly and walk away for a minute and it'll be ok.

Btw. White folks steal too. It ain't just the darkies.

I've had a dry cough for just over a week that I initially wrote off as allergies--until I got hit with a fever and massive headache on Tuesday morning. The headache went away after a few hours, but the fever keeps recurring. The stupid fucking cough and burning sensation in my upper chest is still happening, but at least the sore throat I had at the beginning is gone.

I didn't get the sinus congestion or itchy, watery eyes that always accompany allergies, so I probably should have guessed something else was up when I started coofing. Maybe I just expected coronavirus to be more ~dramatic~.

But if this is coronavirus, it's just going to bore me to death, one dry cough at a time.

South America is cancelling everything right now: schools, gatherings. Can't give you a much detailed info, but looks things are about to get serious unless they put us all in preventinve quarantine for at least one week.

There are still morons who aren't listening. Our pres. ordered to STOP ALL SCHOOL ACTIVITIES and one school principal said he wouldn't do it because he doesn't like the president and thinks he's lying.

So far, me and the fam are safe and in a safe place. Because the kids are at home, might not be able to be around much, I'll be busy. Gonna post just in a few threads to entertain myself and not lose my mind. We already said here we're not gonna leave the house except to buy groceries or important things. So far, it's only husband leaving to work and me going to the market/drugstore. Maybe, we'll take the kids to the park so they can breathe a bit, but not everyday. Ditto for the old folks. Luckily, everybody's healthy. Only one person in the family has severe asthma, but we can manage.

Be safe, kiwis. We're gonna make it.

Sanchez has been calling to close ALL education centers on ALL levels 15 days. Andalucia still hasn't answered, and if my center is to be taken as an example the reason is because they won't even get the department heads together to consider it till 9 o clock, fucking kek, national emergency can wait we take things at our pace, catalonia and extremadura are complying. Many have pointed out that closing those in the autonomous comunities with little cases like andalucia would be fucking retarded, but this is Sanchez we're talking about he IS retarded so we'll see how it goes. On the meantime the "explain it to me like I'm a journalist" jokes (which were already common amongst STEM) have been through the roof so we got that going for us.

Helpful graph being passed around here. This is the symptomatic differences between wuhan flu, regular flu and a cold. I've had family members check the graph and proclaim it's wrong because "a cold can have many of those other symptoms like fever, diarrhea and snot"... so yeah, that explains a lot about how diseases go unchecked and reinforces my belief than this shit's still spread by people who got no idea it's not a cold/flu despite symptomatic difference because they just don't give a fuck.

Also, chink unionist on TV claiming proof that china has recovered is that they're now sending relief masks and medicine to US and EU. Anyone knows where that rumor started 'cause it sounds like bollocks to me and I can't find anything. I assume our Weibo experts would've tracked such activity already.
