I'm going to basically say what I said in the Wuhan thread but it applies twice as much to DSP since he's so desperate for cash and can't ever take time off: Getting sick with the Corona virus is intense even if you don't have a weak immune system. Even healthy people have described it as feeling like you're at the gates of hell. You can barely breathe, and the virus inflicts pneumonia as well. Look up pneumonia if you don't know what that is, it's not something you want to get and it can permanently scar your lungs leaving you with a cough for the rest of your life. If you get CV you will likely end up in a hospital with a respirator hooked up to help you breathe. This isn't just old fucks and fat people, this is basically everyone.

At some point in this madness, likely in a vain attempt to calm people down and stabilize the stock market, some cocksucker said "It's just like the flu, everyone is over worrying" and the optimistic among us, like DSP, took that shit and ran with it and are still running hard on that one completely unsourced completely wrong statement.

I guess "It's just SARS+AIDS, everyone needs to calm down" doesn't have the same ring to it.

Lol, DSP is about to ragequit Mega Man Zero 2. He's being such a salty sausage today.

Maybe it had to do with the amount of effort he had to expend. He uploaded far fewer videos to the vlog channel, and this looks to be when he was still mass uploading a bunch of short videos. Perhaps he figured the comments and the like didn't matter on the vlog channel as much (and could thus turn them off), but he considered it enough of a negative hit on his main channel revenue not to turn them off completely. Once the adpocalypse happened and he started his Twitch begging full-time, I would guess the math changed and he just turned them all off so he couldn't be called out in a forum that was harder for him to maintain control over.

I'm more interested in why he completely turned off/hid the upvote functionality on the Pre-Streams on DSPGayming and on almost all the videos of THEKINGOFHATEVLOGS starting on December 13th, 2015 and continuing to this day. It seems like he got triggered into doing it by very minor events during that previous week and still follows the same pattern. Like he doesn't care about the ratios on his gameplay videos but the videos that are just him talking he has a bitch-fit if they get downvoted or something, except for the videos he thinks are "what's popular on YouTube" that he does specifically to try to gain views like vlogs, reviews, or react videos.

The early examples of randomly deleted/disabled comments and entire comments sections on 'The Week in Preview' and Announcement videos were just sort of an aside I found funny, and trying to paint his frame of mind when he started hiding upvotes. The examples I showed I'm pretty sure were just because his Narc-ego couldn't take the heat rather than because they were being featured somewhere, and I think that's probably also the reason he still hides/turns off the upvote functionality on all these videos. I could be wrong though and am open to other interpretations. I just sort of stumbled onto this realization today that all of his Pre-Streams, 'The Week in Preview', and most other series on THEKINGOFHATEVLOGS all have the upvote functionality disabled. This is something he is doing manually on the uploads he does this to as he occasionally forgets to turn it off/hide it, and it just cracks me up to think of Phil sitting at his lemon PC to this day deciding if the video he is uploading fits some category in his head that the downvotes will hurt his fee-fees.

I am aware about his reason for completely disabling comments on gameplay videos starting in late 2017 being because the comments showing up in TIHYDPs made him mad.

Edit: I also don't know if he ever addressed this again besides 1 sentence in a video description blaming "downvote bots" and claiming it's temporary. . .and 4½ years later he's still religiously doing it. He certainly seems to have been getting his titties in a twist about downvotes during that week. I just never knew how much a simple downvote could trigger him

I'm not going to get too off topic, but if she's healthy she'll probably fare well enough, it just won't be fun at all. Here's a video of a guy from Wuhan (A Brit) describing his run with the virus. The worst part is it's not just a virus but the quarantine afterwards to make sure you don't infect anyone else.

Normally I'd just be posting this in a private message to Actually, but this is also a good clip for debunking Phil's whole notion that it won't be a big deal if he gets it. You better believe that when Phil is going through pneumonia he won't be streaming.

Don't get me wrong, even a 5% rate of pneumonia is really serious shit. But, Phil as a shut-in with a wife that doesn't get out much more, if she's even still in his gout mansion, the odds are extremely low anything will happen to him. Here’s the really fun part. It’s also still flu season and to add to the fun sandwich it’s also the start of allergy season. So what looks like super Wu-Tang flu could just be a normal flu or bad allergies until it’s just a little too late.

I got some kind of sinus thing right now and it’s ass but I don’t have a fever so it’s been a fun few couple of days.

At least based of a dude that comes to my gym and he works at a virology modeling company. He was telling me that the fatality rate is low over all but once you start breaking down the age brackets once you are over 55 years old the fatality rate is like 10%.

I'm not talking about fatality rate though, I'm talking about it inflicting pneumonia which isn't always fatal just fucking horrible to live through, as far as I'm aware pneumonia is like 70% or so afflicted by the disease and only lucky people miss it.
