I went to get my mom some stuff today because she kinda didn’t believe me. Anyways, yeah it was hectic, but not awful. Also, people were still being polite - old dude who just had three items while everyone else had carts full was offered to skip ahead. Idk it was a small thing but it was nice to see that yeah some people are panicking, but there’s still a sense of community where I live at least.

The store wasn’t out of toilet paper either. Did see a lot more people open carrying than usual (constitutional carry here), but hey an armed society is a polite society! Idk, kind of sick of the gloom and doom so seeing people not being complete tards was nice.

Did hear some stories of people being dicks that drove out here, but meh.

My boss has closed down his entire store for the foreseeable future because he's worried about corona-chan. So, on one hand, I get many days off thanks to having a paranoid boss (who isn't even in the vulnerable category), which I suppose is cool. On the other hand; I need money, nigga.

Just a heads up, my region in Norway has shut down all kindergardens, schools and only allow serious medical attention. The SMS was region specific, so I don't know if the others have made the same ruling. The shops are out of toilet paper (why do people need so much toilet paper?) and fresh produce. People are not buying non-perishables and are stocking up on CANDY of all things.

My Dad and I went walking late tonight just for the fresh air. It's midnight here and this lady drove up to her house with a shit ton of water and TP. I told them to be safe out there as we passed by. They gave us some TP and wished us the same. On one hand, they were a bunch of boomer hoarders. On the other hand, the moment was pretty wholesome ngl.

LA, San Diego, Boston and Chicago are closing schools but our brave Mayor De Blasio in NYC has refused, despite the teachers union and City Council Speaker begging him to do so. Kazakh update: Everything's still calm, no panic buying yet.
I'm starting to believe that we might be the only ones that'll remain relatively unscathed for the time being. But I'm ready for that belief to be shattered as soon as Corona-Chan begins dancing across our streets.

Schools in Kyoto are closed though, and the news is all Coronavirus. But I agree, Japan took precautions and is pretty okay.

I just can't find myself to have any sympathy for normies complaining about the hoarding on toilet paper.

These assholes were the same idiots we tried telling a month ago that it would be smart to stock up early on supplies and ignored us and said, "lol, it's just a flu bro."

I'm seeing SO many comments of people bitching about the toilet paper hoarding, it's starting to piss me off. No fuck there's hoarding, it's because there's panic, and what did we warn two months ago? That the biggest threat wouldn't be the virus, it would be the people fighting over the last roll of toilet paper.

I miss the first wave days that is where I learned the most and had the more interesting people posting good information now I got to slog through like 50-100 posts every time I log on to get to the good posts in the middle.
