Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Seattle always struck me as a city that would get hit hard by something like this. The rampant homeless population, the apathetic government, the ineffectiveness of law enforcement and an overloaded ER.

It appears that New York City and Los Angeles (and other parts of Cali) are dealing with the same shit as well.
Seattle is a gay cesspool of drugs, communism and godlessness

Actually, it's Americans visiting China who are the bigger threat now. So, if anything, China should be complaining about America for failing to manage the virus.

Fortunately, China has the capability to carry out tests on everyone who enters the country, and they're not afraid to impose quarantines and travel restrictions on infected gweilo.
Cool, Pooh would rather waste money paying failed NEETs like you way below minimum wage than do things like not build bridges out of garbage and use real people materials or actually get a fucking quarantine or vaccine going.

What a stupid asset. Need not running dogs, need real democracy. Need Tiananmen Square to be acknowledged of how shit government run by peasant too retarded to know that birds eat bug.

Rumors out of Seattle, dude deleted the tweet because of "the accuracy of some of the info", all second-hand. Posting with that caveat: http://archive.li/u34in

  • All ICU beds are full, no shortage of ventilators currently but other supplies like IV pumps are scarce
  • EMCO machines only for people <40, no pre-existing respiratory conditions, no EMCO for fatties (bmi>25)
  • Some people on the street assume health care workers are already infected

So Seattle's the first major city to start looking pretty bad, as expected.

Unless they are massively under reporting confirmed numbers no way. The city has to have 500 upward ICU beds.

Anyone have any resources that list ICU beds per city. Might come in useful.

edit for general retardation

I'm still boggled at how people throughout the world are not only giving China a pass, but outright praising them for their "efforts" against the WuFlu. So what did they truly do?

- Cover up the initial outbreak, costing countless lives in the process
- Intimidate and arrest the doctors trying to warn people about the disease
- Allow millions of people to not only congregate in public, but scatter throughout the world for a major holiday
- Completely downplay the situation, fudging numbers and the true scope of the epidemic
- Build some shitty shanty-town "hospitals" that suffered from water leaks and weren't properly pressurized
- Weld people inside their goddamn houses to die
- Blame the world as racist for barring travel to and from their shithole country
- Blame America for "bringing" the virus to China, even though nearly every disease over the last twenty years originated from your country

Yes, I'm MOTI, but I'm utterly fucking furious that the CCP is getting no heat from the world for their actions. They are responsible for the thousands that have died (and will die) throughout the world and should be held to the fire for their inaction. They are the great evil of our times. I've been convinced of such over the past few months.

Same reason why chicken, turkey and potatoes were out at my grocery store when I went yesterday: Just having the feeling of control over a product, even if it's perishable.
They like to blame everything on America?

Well ICU (Intensive Care) is for more than just COVID.
It’s the respiratory machines that concern me.

Edit: Elaboration.
Twitter man said the city has 12 respiratory machines.
Authorities have decided only people age <40 or with pre-existing conditions can use them.
That means there are possibly 12+ people with critical respiratory systems in Seattle as we speak.
12+ people whose lungs are now fubar.

People were eating the bats and pangolins for fun though, not out of desperation. Didn't you see the videos of people eating bats in fancy restaurants? I'm pretty sure it was actually pangolin and "bat soup" is just a meme.

I've read a lot of conflicting things about this? If this is just a past time for people to eat bats, then queue in the obligatory and sarcastic "No culture is better than another culture" meme.

One thing that's for certain, though, are the conditions in these wet shops. If those are the conditions of the food that rich people eat in China, then Jesus H. Christ. That's horrifying.

Yes, they are very serious about containing the outbreak. Is this not a good thing? A quarantine is useless if not enforced. I suppose in America they would rather let a hundred thousand die than detain someone in their home and risk litigation from a Jëwish human rights lawyer.

I can't wrap my head around the idea of someone defending another person welding another person's door shut as normal and or appropriate. This truly is a clown world we live in. Why would someone weld a door shut to keep someone in? There are many safer ways to enforce a lockdown. And why would someone ever think it was justified?! This is hilarious!

The "secondhand info" this guy tweeted about how this virus has killed elderly people:

We've been told over and over how somebody with pulmonary and/or heart issues are high risk cases for this virus. The things he said about how the virus "attacks" the heart: He's acting like it's new information, when it totally isn't. While the information isn't pleasant to read no matter how many times I see it, it still isn't this new horrifying information that we weren't told about before.

When the body is put into overtime distress and gets worn out, especially at an old age, the heart "gives up." I've seen it happen, and it's nothing new, sadly. Sometimes even turning the distressed/sick body a certain way is enough to instantly make the heart stop beating. Going into shock is a thing.

Scary? Hell yes. New or unique to this virus? No.

The Chinese response to the virus kind of remind me of the circumstances that led up to the original Battle of Wuhan. After completely bungling the initial penetration of the Japanese forces at Shanghai and the subsequent inland push up to Nanking, Chiang Kai-Shek decided to go into 100% overkill containment mode by dynamiting the Yellow River dykes and dams in an attempt to completely flood the planned route of the Japanese armies and stall their advance. It sort of worked, but the mass flooding ended up killing hundreds of thousands of Chinese by drowning and famine and exposure, and the Japanese ended up recovering their footing and pressing on to Wuhan.

I'm sure that at the time, Chiang was being applauded by all his supporters and sympathizers abroad for demonstrating such a resolute commitment to halting the Japanese invasion, even though it must have been quite obvious that the human cost was enormous even without all the post-war scholarship on the exact death toll, and that the flooding of the Yellow River basin wouldn't have been necessary if Chiang hadn't thrown away all his elite regiments in the Battle of Shanghai.

I got a bunch of meal replacement powder, vitamins and distilled water. I'm ready boogie.

What's so hard to believe? Every time a new COVID-19 infection is discovered, the subject's movements are reconstructed from GPS, and everyone with whom they interacted are also tested and quarantined if positive. This is repeated until there are no more cases. There are also mobile and fixed automated checkpoints where temperature readings are performed. If the person has a fever, they are tested.

They did not "invent" it. That's baseless conspiracy theory talk. It was a chance mutation which could have occurred anywhere.

So, Bill Gates ran a simulation of an obscure coronavirus pandemic to "highlight risks" just couple of weeks ago - http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/event201/
Now we have an actual coronavirus outbreak.
Given just these two facts, it boggles my mind, that Bill Gates and every one of his henchmen is NOT at the moment at some glow in the dark black site with electrodes clipped to their genitals.

Could it be that Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is actually a death cult? Bill has been wanting to kill billions of humans for a while (by vaccinating people and saving lives - nudge, nudge, wink wink). Working with vaccines gives him an excuse to have access to deadly viruses.
So here's how it could have happened:
Bill runs a successful simulation with numbers for a (totally fictional lol) virus he already has access to and practically ejaculates when he sees the success of the simulation.
Chinese New Year coming, Bill sees an opportunity, can't keep it in his pants and seizes it.
Wuhan BioSafety lab also has BSL-3 facilities in addition to BSL-4 labs, doing commercial work, Bill sends his samples there for some routine work.
Virus leaks from BSL-3 labs,
Chinese assume it's from their BSL-4 in the same building, where they are doing SARS/coronavirus research and invent bat soup story to cover their own ass.

Motive - check.
Opportunity - successful mass-casualty event simulation, Chinese New Year, plausible deniability, check.
Means - dude is a billionaire, has access to viruses and bioengineering labs, check.

Hey @backfad, check my earlier suggestion of blaming the corona plague on Bill Gates - tell Xi to grab him quietly and then torture this faggot for "confession" of creating this plague. I don't really think he did it, but the idea of chinamen showing matches under fingernails of this smug cunt gives me a raging boner.
I want some Epic store credit for this idea - give me 2-3 games and Cyberpunk when it gets released and we're even.

If we lived in a world where everyone was aware, China would get an award for boner of the year. Decade, even. Most people aren't obsessive researchers or goofballs making up stories about Corona-chan being a stripper. I doubt many in Normal Land are aware that this is due to China not swallowing their pride.

Look on the bright side, at least most people aren't pulling boners of the year. That would be bad.

Color me skeptical. It has the whiff of hysterical bullshit, masked with some rumors and claims from elsewhere. Little things flag it for me. Like "All the ICU Beds are full!" Okaaay... which ICU? Modern Hospitals don't work the way the normies think they do anymore. Most of a modern hospital can be flipped to ICU beds. There are a number of specialty ICU type wards. ICU. CCU. Recovery, Resp ICU, etc. The story involving the nurse having to hand infuse an antibiotic over time (a skill they all have) because it would take too long from Medical engineering to get a new pump sounds overblown. "This doctor! He's seen so many die!!!!" If he has seen more than one, than he has seen the Nursing Home Residents. Who almost certainly had DNR's, Living Wills, Health Care Proxies and a refusal for ongoing life support in their files. This dudes friend was an Intensivist. A bunch of old folks dying of pneumonia is not going to leave an intensivist particularly shaken. Looking at this dudes timeline he is some sort of whacked out Clinical Neurologist that works with Epilepsy and most rabble rouses about how bad the hospital treats its physicians. (This is a common thing among MD's who seek a feeling of self importance to mask how insignificant they are in the whole Health Care system. ) He had to delete the tweet and apologize because of the inaccuracies in it. He's probably a complete clown. He sure as shit looks like a complete clown.

I'm leaning a bit towards that as well, considering:

1. He deleted the tweets.

2. He acted like he had new information when he was talking about people's hearts stopping and was implying that the virus attacks the heart now. That definitely reeked of sensationalist BS.
