You read it wrong, I think. Her comment was that if Eugenics came back into vogue the government will kill her mom, because she's old and has cancer and other physical illnesses.
It's kind of funny really that Stephanie thinks her mother, who is willing to work, presumably intelligent enough to do so, and contributes to society would be in more danger than herself. Well, not really funny. More incredibly arrogant.

i know the running thing is that staph isn't really trans, but the blood center can be weird about trans people donating blood, like how they're weird about gay men donating blood. i'm looking forward to her getting pissy about that (if she goes through with it that is). maybe it'll be the one time she'll understand first-hand how fucky the world is for LGBTQ+ people (and not hellgenders like her) and be sympathetic to those horrible cis allogay men for being discriminated.

It's mostly for the risk of AIDS that that happens (as prejudice as it is) and mostly targets anyone who has same sex....sex.
