So, huh, guys, regarding the announcement I promised you on Twitter - follow me if you don't already - my wife Kate, she's pretty good with numbers. You know, despite being a cashier, she could easily, easily be an accountant - on top of a bikini model, and, I'm sorry I have to say it but that's just the honest truth, if she had been the kind of people who make me bite my nails ? Probably would have been able to attend an Ivy League university and become a cosmonaut, just the way it is.
Anyway, to the point, she figured something out. If all of my subscribers gave me a 1 000$ each, I would have around 400 000$ dollars - give or take, off the top of my head - and that is very, very nearly enough to bail me out of this really sh#tty situation I'm in. Like, it was already hard being the one man on the internet who's standing up to game developers and their unfair gameplay practices, but since this whole beer-virus fiasco, you guys have less money, and that means I - me - have less money, and, long story short, truth of the matter is, I'm not making ends meet. It's sad to say but in this day and age raking 8K a month playing video games just isn't enough for a hard working man to provide for his family - I have a cat, guys, and it's really been working him to see his warden not know what tomorrow's made of, because he knows, he knows since I haven't been able to afford premium cat food for a few months now.
So, you know, if you all pooled up and gave a measly thousand dollars each - barely the price of 2 coffee machines - well, I'd be that much less in debt. Still in debt, mind you, because on top of carrying honesty in gaming journalism, I also single-handedly keep WWE Champions afloat, and that really takes a lot of money. But, again, it's that or the street - or worse, prison, and we all know there's only so much nail I can bite in such an environment - and frankly, don't you, and I, deserve better ?

Well that's one of his better decisions. They bring in much more money than the gaming segments, have higher attendance and are a LOT more fun to watch.
Maybe in a year or two when he gets even more desperate he will start to play it up even more

It's obviously not cheating. But it kind of defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place. He might as well play a graphical novel 'game' at this point.
It'd be like watching a guy play Fifa or something with a Champions League team and stomping 12th tier team in friendly matches. It's just not a challenge, but obviously not 'abusing' any exploits.

I can see both sides, but I was thinking about this on Monday when I was watching TIHYDPs in the background.
In his first Bloodborne run, DSP grinded offscreen so that he was super overleveled. And yeah, we made fun of him for it. But it also meant two things:
1) He actually "technically" worked overtime at his job.
2) He actually somewhat enjoyed playing the game, even if it was just killing low level enemies.
2020 DSP would never grind off screen. That would be too much effort for him. 2020 DSP plays the bare minimum that he has to and not a second more. 2020 would grind on-screen, have the most boring 4 hours possible (see Morrowind) and then tell his audience that he HAS to grind because the game is stupid and you're a dumb fuck idiot kid if you don't agree with it.

You have a point, but he still ragequit the DLC AND the Chalice Dungeons because they were too challenging and he couldn't brute force his way through them with raw stats.
For someone who "loved" the game and the Souls style of games, he gave up when it asked more of him than "R1 spam and occasionally press roll"
Even then he was still unwilling to put in the effort to learn the game on a technical level, and saw the game as yet another race to the credits reel, as work. The credits rolled when he killed the Moon Presence, he didn't have to put in more effort than that.

- Shopped early, probably will be sold out later which would cause stockpiling
- Got enough for week but got extras and not hording. Got some extra frozen meals
- Couldn't get the pasta he wanted
- Checked out within 5 mins
- Happy about how it turned out because there were no fights
- Had to go other places, get other supplies, had an appointment.
- People were being nice to each other, it made him feel good because people were being nice to everyone. Positivity within the humman race
