The Mayor of New York City has requested military intervention. De Blasio has officially broken with Cuomo. You want to see political fault lines, here in stark contrast is the split between the mayor of New York city and the governor of the state of New York. In theory the governor is the superior but for some time this has been a question. On all fronts.

The Federal Military cannot intervene without Cumomos approval. This is probably gonna exasperate the New York and Long Island secession movement. Pro move Cuomo! If NYC and Long Island fuck off upstate New York will make you governor for life!

We need to talk about the fact the virus has been detected in high concentrations in the feces too... San Francisco might have a huge sanitary problem soon with the amount of poo they get in the streets every day. But that's not the only thing that might be concerning, i will sound like an idiot but, has anyone tested farts for the coronavirus yet ? It might sound dumb... But... No, i'm not even joking. That also represent a very, very high risk of aerosolization of the virus into very tiny particles in the air, maybe even smaller than the usual aerosolization from sneezing / cough and could spread much further than that, from droplets that can already make it survive up to three or four hours being airborne depending on how tiny the particles are, it can go higher in the air from being "warmed" by body temperature and being lifted / traveling very easily in the wind from the further break down aerosolization / thinner particles delivered by the maceration of the intestine gazes... Sorry for the details and i'm not an expert, but that is something i'm really wondering.

"There needs to be a change" is a huge jump away from "journalists are committing treason by saying oranj man bad." I agree that the state of mainstream journalism these days is JUST tier, but I think government censorship of the press is the absolute last thing anyone needs. The integrity of investigative journalism needs to come back, but honestly that seems more of a question of funding/readership than anything, and not something a govt Ministry of Truth should get involved in.

Niggas be going crazy out here, online and IRL, and the deaths haven't even really started yet. Good thing I'm armed.

I don't want any critic of Trump to be detained and arrested just for not liking him. Not at all. Like I've said, there is a huge difference between opinions, and then claiming to provide information and facts as a service to the American people. If you say "Orange Man Bad," then that should never be grounds for treason. If you suck at your job, though, then you get fired. Simple as that.

However, if the motives of the United States news media is to cover for Communist China because they prioritized China as customers over the safety of their fellow citizens, then yeah, at this point one can make a case for treason. I think that America is in for a lot of hurt in the next several weeks because the media shut this story down in favor of Impeachment bullshit. Had Americans been properly informed, then I don't think this mass panic would be nearly as bad as it is now (and the panic is making everything that much worse and more dangerous). If the media's motives behind this were to not piss off their Chinese customers, then don't you think that's created a danger to Americans, going against America's interests, or providing aid and comfort to the enemy?

I think it's worth looking into, when all is said and done. Or, we won't have to worry or speculate about this again, if we tell China to take their money and shove it.

So I have one too many quotes to respond to and I guess that's what happens when you say some wild shit, but I'm providing an update to what I said earlier.

Alright Kiwis listen up. I don't usually post on this forum and only signed up to talk shit about Star Wars so spreading fear mongering and nonsense is the last of my prioritized shit.

Got news from governor's office in an undisclosed state. Been told national lockdown is happening by the end of this week in the United States. National Guard is rolling out everywhere and they're preparing the state militias. Interstate travel will be banned.

So yes, national lockdown, National Guard rolling out everywhere: this is real, no I'm not making shit up (the f I have to gain seriously)

I can now confirm this is happening in Illinois, Missouri, Ohio and Indiana right now. They're not saying anything to prevent mass panic from the public until they're stationed and ready. Trump/government will say it's for 1-2 weeks, but they have supplies for 3 months.

I'm rating you autistic right now, but I'm coming back to change it to winner if you're right.
Lookin forward to it

So it seems like all my boomer relatives are settling in for self-quarantine.. after traveling all over the country the past couple of weeks and coming back to stay with my 90+ y/o grandma. This is not looking good.

People scoffed but I can actually see this happening. Everything has been escalating to stricter and stricter measures in a very short timespan. Everybody would have laughed a month ago if you said Canada and the US would mutually agree to close the border.
Banning domestic flight is the first step. I dunno if I believe that national guard stuff but shutting down travel in general, sure.

People aren't going to react well to finding out grandma's gonna die and no you can't go see her. But I think that's where we are going.
Sadly it is and not even I'm ready for it

My brothers' cousin's boyfriends gay dentist said it's totes going to martial law you guys. I just wanna talk about star wars but I just had to break my silence, guys.
You can check my post history

This would be more believable if they just said the Guard was rolling out, because the National Guard is the state militia. And they're already activated and on the ground and have been for a least a week or two already.

If I had to rate this post on a 1-10 basis, gets a 4, and is late and 🏳️‍🌈
I'm just as much a normie as the Linda who gave me this info but IIRC there's innawoodz militias all over the country

I like this forum enough to give a heads up to you guys and this thread provides me with some comfort after what's gone south with the people I know that have been hit with this invisible war. I'll do my best to provide updates in this thread but as of right now I don't know when its happening, just "by the end of this week" whatever the fuck that means.

Just one point:

You do not want to eliminate the rule of law, and liberty.

It is far better for 100 lying journalists to be able to publish for every reasonable one.

For if freedom of speech is eliminated, those lying journalist will still be there, but they will be the only ones.

Emergency Dictatorships should terrify the living shit out of all of you.

For they tend to do as much damage as good.

And they tend to outlast their welcome.

All this is to say is those sorts of Emergency Powers are THE monkey's paw and I hope we never have to see them here.

Italy will no longer count deaths

427 dead in the last 24 hours. Contagion out of control in the lombardy region. Lockdown to be extended with the army enforcing stricter measures to punish quarantine breach.

Shit.
It's more like they have so many deaths they have problems counting them anymore... Also psychologically it might be very depressing and anxiety inducing for the workers... There is just an abnormal amount of deaths, i don't know if at some point it's healthy for medic workers to keep thinking about these numbers, i can understand the psychological burden of it some of these health worker might even be breaking down from the anxiety of seeing so much people they can't save almost every hour now..

Sources motherfucker, do you know what they are?

I can confirm that, no, there is no roll-out of the National Guard in these states. We would have noticed, given some of us have coworkers that are in the national guard.

Stop trying to spread hysteria.

Nonetheless people need to return to their States of residence ASAP. The CDC was asked about this in prior news conferences and they refused to rule it out. So closing interstate borders is definitely on the table. Dont assume you will be allowed to return home just because you are stuck in another state.

No, you're relating an article from a fake news site. It was linked on reddit.

You're full of shit.

Cool larp, wish I had access to all your chain emails filled with forbidden knowledge.

It hasn’t gotten super bad in my state yet, but I just learned one of the Washington deaths this week was someone who went to the same high school I did. Feels a lot more real now.

One of the hospitals near me is asking for donations of any eye protection at all including swim goggles. And this is a world renowned hospital in a major city. It’s gonna be bad out in the sticks.

De Blasio is Cuomo's bitch though. Cuomo is guinea to the core and will quietly rub him out (figuratively) when he least expects it. de Blasio is only half Italian and not from NYC, Cuomo's a Queens boy, like the Donald.

You are as bad as these fake news articles websites keep pumping out. National Guard has been out for weeks now. Dont spread shit that is rumor or isnt fact right now.

Had a customer call work today telling me the same thing today. Only difference is they have lost most of their capacity to think or reason due to head trauma. And somehow I still think they are a better source than you.

That's rather strange. Looking at those state's National Guard readiness site, and checking on the place my .mil email works, I don't see ANYTHING regarding a rollout.

I see checkins, phone tree alerts, sign in alerts, notification not to go further than 100 miles, leave and school cancellations, but no rollout orders.

Oh, wait, there a notice for some NBC Room guys to go in and check the MOPP gear.

Rollouts?

Nope.

So, WHICH exact guard units are you talking about?

OH! I also see a few standard training rollouts.

A few units doing pre-staging isn't that bad, even if they are doing it and there's just no data. That's like Oregon and California National Guard doing pre-staging during fire season.

And the military has literal months of supplies anyway.

EDIT: Heard my local tinfoil hat guy claiming they're gonna call up the Disabled Listing. I couldn't stop laughing. Yeah, all of the dude's with busted up bodies bad enough that they got put on T/PDRL are surely going to be called up after 5-40 years of eating chips and smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.

Bayer is going to donate millions of doses of chloroquine for free

and
Donate for free??? There is nothing "free" about this. Oh sure we the consumer will get it "free" but we already have paid for this through Trump's generous tax breaks for these corporations.
Secondly nice PR move... Get brownie points... looks good as the super rich has done a wonderful marketing move.
Third... and the most important part. THIS will be deducted off of their corporate taxes.
Forth... They are getting rid of old stock of material. This is fucking common in any corporation. Kindness of their heart? More like brownie points and profit margins.

Well fuk
A coworker of my spouse might have Corona
If they test positive I will get everyone in the house tested. I'll know by friday.

Does anyone have any info yet on how this might be spreading? Is it airborne or purely direct contact? Theres so much of this thread to go through and so many reports to catch up on. It's making me dizzy

From all of the info collected here on the Virus. It is spread by the following.
1. Vapor. Meaning coughing and sneezing droplets of junk.
2. Contact. The virus can live up to 5 days ( bullshit on what the others in media saying 3 days) on a very smooth surface. On a rough surface. A LOT longer on a rough surface. If the virus can survive on Chinese Currency you better believe you are looking at a long survival time.
3. Airborne. Yup we Already knew this aspect months ago.
4. Feces.
5. Urine

We knew this was going to be bad... months ago... If people listened to us on how to prepare for this in advance you should be fine.

On my end. For several days things were hit hard as far as finding things as panic buying still continues. I had 2 months of calmly buying what I need. I also have done the same method with hard.... core.... cash. These are "just in case measures".

I do not think that water nor energy will be affected and that is a key element with this situation. If you are not going to have those issues then the chances you are not going to have mass riots in the streets. However that all depends on people's overall reaction to this situation. There is always an increase change of localized riots in poorer sections of a region, just because of their mindset and situation.

Let's see in a week or too down the road and make an assessment then. Hopefully nothing goes Full on REEtard where we need to re-evaluate later.

Shit.
So the nurses, according to this nurse, are not counting. Guarantee that someone int he army is counting though, we'll still get death counts.

Interestingly, following that article to another NYpost article leads me to this PDF:

There are several interesting tidbits, run through google translate:

1.This report describes the characteristics of 2003 deceased and positive COVID-19 patients in Italy. There geographical distribution of deaths is as follows:

2.The average age of deceased and COVID-19 positive patients is 79.5 years (median 80.5, range 31-103, Range
InterQuartile - IQR 74.3-85.9). There are 601 women (30.0%). Figure 1 shows that the median age of the patients
COVID-19 positive deaths is more than 15 years higher than that of patients who contracted
the infection (median age: patients who died 80.5 years - patients with infection 63 years). Figure 2 shows
the number of deaths by age group. Women who died after contracting COVID-19 infection
they are older than men (median ages: women 83.7 - men 79.5).

3.Table 1 presents the most common pre-existing chronic pathologies (diagnosed before contracting
infection) in deceased patients. This figure was obtained in 355/2003 deaths (17.7% of the sample
total). The average number of pathologies observed in this population is 2.7 (median 2, Deviation
Standard 1.6). Overall, 3 patients (0.8% of the sample) had 0 pathologies, 8 9 (25.1%)
had 1 pathology, 91 had 2 pathologies (25.6%) and 172 (48.5%) had 3 or more pathologies.

4.Figure 3 shows the most commonly observed symptoms prior to hospitalization in COVID19 positive deceased patients. As shown in the figure, dyspnea and fever represent the most common symptoms
feedback, less common are cough, diarrhea and hemoptysis. 5.2% of people did not present any
symptom upon admission.

5.-6. Respiratory failure was the most commonly observed complication in this sample (97.2%
of cases), acute kidney damage (27.8%), followed by acute myocardial damage (10.8%) and superinfection (10.2%).

Figure 4 shows the therapies administered in COVID-19 positive deceased patients during hospitalization. There
Antibiotic therapy was the most widely used (83% of cases), least used antiviral (52%), most
rarely steroid therapy (27%). The common use of antibiotic therapy can be explained by
presence of superinfections or is compatible with initiation of empirical therapy in patients with pneumonia, pending
laboratory confirmation of COVID-19. In 25 cases (14.9%) all 3 therapies were used.

7. Figure 5 shows, for patients who have died positive COVID-19, the median times, in days, that pass
from the onset of symptoms to death (8 days), from the onset of symptoms to hospitalization (4
days) and from hospitalization to death (4 days). The time elapsed from hospitalization to
death was 1 day longer in those who were transferred to resuscitation than those who did not
they were transferred (5 days against 4 days).

8.To date (17 March), 17 COVID-19 positive patients have died under the age of 50. In particular,
5 of these had fewer than 40 and were all male people aged between 31 and
39 years with serious pre-existing pathologies (cardiovascular, renal, psychiatric pathologies, diabetes, obesity).

What is interesting here is the pre existing conditions category. 76% of the tested deceased had high blood pressure, 35.5% had diabetes (I assume type 2 given the age range, article doesnt specify), and 33% had Cardiovascular heart disease. There is a long list in the PDF of pre existing conditions, but it seems of the deceased 48% had 3 or more pre existing conditions, 25% had two and 25% had one (0.8% had none). The acute kidney damage was likely found in the high blood pressure patients, whose cardio system was put under even more strain by coronavirus.

This is also interesting:
death cases italy by age.PNG
This is coming from March 17th, at the time, a whopping 17 total deaths were recorded in people aged below 50 (so those rumors of all the young people dying in italy are debunked), and only another 56 occurred to the 50-59 age group. The huge spike at age 70 is jarring, but not totally unexpected. Notably, all the victims under 40 had poor health conditions.

God it feels good to get some hard numbers out of italy. The analyst part of my brain has been going nuts without hard graphs showing co-morbidity rate and breakdowns by age bracket.
