Just heard that a friend of a friend in Italy lost 12 friends (all boomers) and is unironically singing the praises of the Chinese government, who they view is the only one helping out while the US and other EU countries sit back and laugh. The American friend agrees and feels like China has redeemed itself. History is being rewritten before our eyes.

It has since emerged that they spent Sunday morning at a church service attended by some 200 congregants, and now the Department of Health is scrambling to find all of them and ensure that they are properly tested and quarantined if necessary.

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola has revealed that prisons across the country will undergo deep cleaning in a bid to prevent coronavirus infections.
Correctional facilities present an elevated risk of the spread of any contagion because of the high concentration of people in one facility. To make matters worse, South Africa’s prison system is overburdened, and overcrowding is all too common.

America cant help Italy because we cant even help ourselves. China has all of us by the balls.

Everyone who works in the field knew that we had recurring issues with PPE and medication shortages. Along about November. Nobody ever said anything, even though it could technically be considered a national security issue.

Produce drugs and PPE here? Well that sounds like communism. The invisible hand of the free market will take care of it, except he has a cough that won't go away.

This is the result of everything being produced in China, and obviosuly that China has gotten somewhat control over the virus while the west is still largely bracing for impact. It seems like this will end up as a pretty huge propaganda victory for China in the end.

I can't wait to see how China reacts to the rest of us all fucking off and refusing to rent their sweatshops.

... Because if they thought Trump was hard on them before, BOY HOWDY, they have seen NOTHING yet. A germophobe nationalist populist president who already had an axe to grind about them, who now can turn fucking them over into a campaign reelection issue?

I'm hoping for economic sanctions, I'm hoping for massive tariffs, I'm hoping for grants to help companies move their shit out of China permanently, I'm hoping for an audit and investigation of Chinese nationals working in the US (how many biolabs had Chinese people trying to sneak shit out in the past few months? 3? 4?), I'm hoping for an audit of Chinese foreign exchange students leeching money and resources from US schools, I'm hoping for a purge of Marxist bullshit from Academia, I'm hoping for America First policies requiring drugs and medical equipment be manufactured in the US...

But most of all, I hope when they put Pooh Bear against the wall they at least have the common decency to put that shit on Liveleak. I want a funny "oh, bother" with laugh track included.

did you read the post you quoted?

I mean, it's technically possible that Germany's government is as deliberately bad as the UK ('let them die' - Boris Johnson) at dealing with pandemics, or that their people are as disagreeable and prone to not complying with public health measures as Anglos, the people who inflicted libertarianism on the world, and they're just covering things up.

But I doubt it.

What do you think about this image?

A very large portion of the deaths caused by the Kung Flu are due to secondary bacterial infections exploiting the weakness created by the primary virus. While their body is trying to fight off the novel virus, loads of secondary and tertiary bacteria are flooding through the gates and overwhelming their immune systems, hence the need for a dual treatment of antibiotics with azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine.

Try to think about things before you open your mouth. It's a good way to eat your own foot.

They haven't gotten control over shit. Them claiming to do so is the most blatant propaganda bullshit I've ever seen.

“It first struck me how different it was when I saw my first coronavirus patient go bad. I was like, Holy shit, this is not the flu. Watching this relatively young guy, gasping for air, pink frothy secretions coming out of his tube and out of his mouth. The ventilator should have been doing the work of breathing but he was still gasping for air, moving his mouth, moving his body, struggling. We had to restrain him. With all the coronavirus patients, we’ve had to restrain them. They really hyperventilate, really struggle to breathe. When you’re in that mindstate of struggling to breathe and delirious with fever, you don’t know when someone is trying to help you, so you’ll try to rip the breathing tube out because you feel it is choking you, but you are drowning.

“I worked a long stretch of days last week, and I watched it go from this novelty to a serious issue. We had one or two patients at our hospital, and then five to 10 patients, and then 20 patients. Every day, the intensity kept ratcheting up. More patients, and the patients themselves are starting to get sicker and sicker. When it first started, we all had tons of equipment, tons of supplies, and as we started getting more patients, we started to run out. They had to ration supplies. At first we were trying to use one mask per patient. Then it was just: You get one mask for positive patients, another mask for everyone else. And now it’s just: You get one mask.

This was prob already posted but really good/scary article.
Not only late as hell, but as has already been discussed, this is a normal reaction to mechanical ventilation. It is NOT FUN. There is a reason they normally would put someone under when doing this kind of thing for long lengths of time. Somehow these doctors think sticking a knife down someones throat to suck out shit from their lungs is going to be a pleasant? experience, and go full surprised pikachu when actually used. Shows how soft our medical staff have gotten over the years. And bears the question why the hell they are not using ketamine to knock these patients out during the duration of ventilation.

As for the PPE? Yeah, we know. There is a massive shortage because our government allowed companies to stretch supply lines to the absolute limit like a bunch of mongs, and DIDNT fix the issue after the last major shortage during the Zika scare. We are all now paying the price.

Title is very sensationalist.

As the deaths ramp up I can see a lot of other countries following suit with Trump and realising collectively "oh shit he is standing up to China and he did not do awful." He is going to create a resurgence in patriotism as is BoJo.

I would not be surprised if China beings getting sanctioned a year down the lines,

Another one is France and Germany atm the discontent in those countries is massive Merkel and Macron are despised. The EU will collapse in on itself as Italy move away to their own benefit as will Greece (their countries wanted out.)

Interesting times the 4 month lockdown is a cunt though.

As for ventilators, nurse relative of mine said 15 days is the recommended amount before damage and yeah 30 days on a ventilator will brain damage you. Your lungs also get incredibly damaged due to the dependency on the machine.

The only thing I could think of - the respirators are built in a facility that makes relatively small things, like, say, alternators or air conditoner compressors. Sure couldn't build them on a vehicle assembly line.
GM may be wise to look at opening plants that aren't auto related. Will be greatly suprised if no billionare starts up supply networks for manufacturing.

Raw materials, processing and manufacturing all within a single state would greatly increase GDP, ease unemployment and would shrink the globalist supply strings (because lets face it, if you make a product that relies on parts and goodwill from people 3000 miles away... it isn't a chain) into national supply webs.

Ventilators aren't effective against viruses either, all they do is manage symptoms. Sell all ventilators, I hear there's plenty of suckers looking to buy them these days.

So hydroxychloroquine (brand name Plaquenil in the US) can have some pretty gnarly side effects. It has a long elimination half life, meaning that it sticks around in your system for a while after you stop taking it. This normally isn't a big deal, except for some reason, the cells in your retina can not void the compound like the cells in the rest of your body. The reason for this is still poorly understood. The levels can get high enough that your retinal cells start to die. The peripheral vision starts to go first, resulting in ever-narrowing tunnel vision. Hydroxychloroquine-induced retinal toxicity is permenant, and can contiue to get worse even after cessation of the drug. For this reason, there is usually a lifetime exposure limit of hydroxychloroquine. Patients are switched to a different drug after they get to this point, and they have to undergo regular visual field testing and retinal scanning to keep an eye on their eyes.

This sounds bad, and it is, but hydroxychloroquine is still a lot safer and more effective than some other drugs for these conditions. This is a rare side effect that only a few groups of patients have to worry about. The people who are most at risk of this are on a higher dosage for a long time, or they are dumb assholes buying it over the internet and taking an inappropriately high dose. Medical supervision is important while taking this drug.

For all you assholes in this thread who are buying this shit from the internet without medical supervision, don't take more than 400mg a day as a maintenance dose. If you are under 135lbs, your safe dose is lower. Tell your idiot family members who are getting their fake scripts from pill mills online to not overdo it on the dosing. More is not better. I'm waiting for the rash of tunnel vision and legal blindness in a few months/years to come as a result of people ODing on this thinking it will protect them from corona.
