Maybe? I mean it certainly didn't hurt Harding and his "right, that shit in Europe is over, let's get back to normal life" campaigning. Wilson was a lame duck when the war ended anyway, and the next 3 presidents were Republican. Interesting to note however that Wilson likely caught the Spanish Flu in France during the Versailles conference in 1919. This may very well have contributed to the stroke he had a few months after the treaty, which basically made him a vegetable during his last few months in office. Ain't nobody, even the President of the United States, was safe from that Spanish whore.

The average person (in Western countries) feels left behind in a world that doesn't understand. Computers and the Internet have enabled him/her to access a lot of information... but little knowledge. And so, they feel smart but they aren't intelligent enough to find/create a proper job. They are frustrated and they don't know why.

If you seriously think that any country but China is going to have the most deaths from the Wu Flu, you're not just anti-science, you're anti-basic fucking math. Through sheer numbers alone, it's reasonable to expect China will have at least triple the number of deaths the US will have, especially considering it's the epicenter of the pandemic. Factor in the lower quality hospitals, the smog-choked air, and the ChiComs' ineptitude/malice, and the death toll will certainly be even higher. Just because they stopped reporting deaths doesn't mean people aren't still keeling over.

If anything is going to be a casualty from the Wu Flu, it's going to be globalism. As the global economy practically screeched to a halt because some dumbasses can't stop eating bushmeat (or worse, some even bigger dumbasses can't stop selling lab animals used in testing infectious diseases to these bushmeat markets), it's been a wake-up call that our overdependence on China has come at a terrible cost. I don't think we'll see huge shifts of industry away from the ChiComs overnight, but I do think that at least some companies will think twice before deciding to invest in China further.

But a while back there was a Facebook glitch that revealed the actual accounts behind various pages on the site, like Greta Thunberg's being managed by her parents and a bunch of handlers (obviously). Fedora-tipper God was revealed as some thirty- or forty-something liberal Jew, I think from either New York or California.

So, y'know, exactly who you'd expect.
