"My team has treated, since last Thursday, approximately 350 patients in Kiryas Joel, and I have treated around 150 patients in onsey, NY and New York City. I can definitively report that we have had ZERO deaths, ZERO hospitalizations, and ZERO incubations in Kiryas Joel since Thursday. I medically advice the Kiryas Joel Hatzolah and I am fully aware of their data.

Funny you say that because I just had an online conversation, in which I mentioned that high number of cases in NYC is probably due to the fact that there is the largest Chinese community in the US over there. The people I was talking to started saying things like: "correlation doesn't mean causation", "they didn't necessarily travel to Wuhan", "most of the infections in NYC where from Europe".

That was back when they had such thing as itemized "long distance" calls pay per minute. So that "flattened the curve" a bit.

Now finally I got talked into returning to my "home state" and I met my husband. Don't want to get into it, but let's just say, if it were between rescuing my cats from a burning building, and certain select humans ...

Like they were AMAZINGLY on point, shit broke around the food court, then by the time I got over back to the liquor store they were already mid-conversation with the manager about hooking me up with a free replacement bottle even though I had only notified the food court there was some glass broken and asked how I could help. I already had cash for another bottle like mostly in hand and they still let me just grab one. 10/10 customer service even for costco.

The US Government pissed away a good $6 trillion, not to mention thousands of Americans dead and wounded, since 9-11 fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. What did we get for that expenditure? Nothing. Nil. Zilch. Zero. Iraq and Afghanistan were shitholes before we came in, and will always be shitholes.

So I have no problem spending what needs to be spent to help Americans get through this. This is a wide-ranging national emergency. At least the money will be going to people who appreciate the help, for a change. And the vast majority of the money provided to Americans will go right into the economy, for food, rent, medicine, gas, etc. Visualize an hourly worker's family bringing home a load of groceries thanks to the stimulus check. Visualize kids with a full plate of food. Trump gets it.

A paraphrased question from World War I comes to mind. "Shall our dollars be more important to us than the welfare of our people?"
