The 2020s are sure off to a wonderful start...
Like I said before, I almost miss the swine and bird flu scares. While I read about them online, there was no real IRL panic. No panic buying, no gossip magazines freaking out about yet another celebrity with the virus, no stores going on reduced hours or closing, no public events cancelling, no curfews, no lockdowns, no "social distancing," and of course no Black Friday every day for basic things like toilet paper or pasta. But that was before Clown World and the honknet*, so I guess this is how every future pandemic is going to be handled in the West of Current Year.

I know it's chaotic and very disconcerting right now but if the 2020 Election goes badly for the Dems and the Left AND the United States can get a proper grasp on COVID-19 and begin proper relief efforts before the spring and summer are over, then things will recover slowly but surely.
Unlike China or Europe, I think the United States will make a full recovery from this pandemic but it will take time, especially in New York City and on the West Coast.
Honestly, I think the virus itself will probably burn itself out by the end of the summer and the real threat COVID-19 poses to the United States is the socioeconomic devastation rather than the virus itself.
Hell, that's the main reason why Senate Dems were so gung-ho against letting Trump's proposed relief measures get passed. They know that if he implements these measures to stabilize the economy and provide some semblance of stability during this crisis, the DNC will be fucked in 2020 and possibly the 2022 midterms and 2024 as well.
As it is, COVID-19 is undermining the power of the SJW's. They're still as fanatical as ever, but I think the hard reality of the pandemic is what's going to ultimately get both the masses and the big companies to tell the woke crowd to fuck off and let them focus on an actual crisis.
Remember when I said that the world of "Current Year" will likely get really bad right before it starts to finally get better? Call me optimistic, but I think this is probably the point in time that I was talking about.
2020 is going to be the last big gasp of Current Year, it's the proverbial darkest hour before the dawn. If the United States and the West can survive this, then we'll recover slowly and surely.
Times are harsh right now, but maybe this crisis will be the rude awakening the Western world needs to get a hold of ourselves and head back to a more grounded reality and far away from the malaise of Clown World and Current Year.
Granted, this is going to be a hard time for all of us and will take at least a few years for the United States to fully bounce back from the severe economic damage this pandemic has done.
In an absolute worst-case scenario, China is perma-fucked, and Europe probably is too, or at least the EU is. If that happens, then America takes a few years to recover, the European countries will take a few decades to do the same, if things really do get as bad as the doomers are predicting.
So, it's not all good, especially in the here and now.
And I will gladly accept all the rainbow stickers and puzzle pieces I will undoubtedly get.
