He hasn't been able to name one thing he likes about her. He's only been able to list the things that he's glad that she doesn't do. It's all framed in negatives, nothing positive.
He's not nice, he's a "nice guy." He's an entitled brat that looks down on an entire gender. All of his interactions with women are treated as a transaction. Fouduman does X, therefore women owe him Y. He refuses to treat women as actual people. There's nothing nice about that behavior.

We again run into a baseline of comparison problem. I'm comparing him to the people I like to hang out with in real life, and you're comparing him to other posters on LS. "Not being the worst" doesn't make you a good guy in my book.

When it emerged that he'd washed out of his physics degree program with poor grades and had to pick up a masters in software engineering from a program with low admissions standards in order to be employable, he seemed ridiculous. When he further claimed he was justified in belittling others and diminishing their accomplishments because he was intrinsically the superior person, this made him seem very low indeed. He went after @Rammspieler in a particularly unbecoming way; although these remarks were expunged during thread clean-up, they were so revealing as to be almost poignant.

O and as for Fschmidt tbh I think he's quite an OK guy. Old fashioned, and quite honourable seeming in my eyes. I like his stance on religion, as I am somewhat of a Christian myself - that is I read and try to follow the Bible, even if I don't strongly believe in all the myth and divinity behind it. What lets down Fscmidt in my eyes is his alliance with Marjan, and I often jokingly chide him by saying it's a shame he has allied himself with him (a total clown basically) as it cheapens and hurts everything he says.

It looks like if anybody had a falling out with Ramm, it was because he stopped blaming his problems on the world (and women as a whole) and took responsibility for his life. These are actually admirable traits, and it seems many of the loveshy crowd wants to drag him down for cleaning himself up and dealing with reality like a man.
