Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Perhaps if this is what you anticipate, you should organize to prevent this from happening?
:story: That's the worst hot take I've seen from you ever.

It's not an anticipation. It's literally already in place.
I guess all those people in North Korea should have prevented it from happening when their country became what it is. Hey China, don't like your social credit system? Just ask the government if they would not do it.
Hey, Saudi women, if you don't like being treated like shit, just organize!

Just seen an odd sight .
Little one man tractor , about the size of a ride on mower, driving down the street, spraying from a hand held nozzle.
The bloke wasn't in full HazMat gear, just normal hi viz workwear.
But he was too fast and haphazard to be doing a thorough job. Having to swerve to dodge cars parked on the pavement.

Could have been weedkilling I suppose, but, I've never seen that done like this before. And he was doing a shit casual job of that if that's what it was.

More like the half-arsed "lets do something" we've seen elsewhere.

I got a pic of him disappearing in the distance, but too shit to post. See if he comes back for the other side

I feel like, after reading back some pages, I really need to strongly stress to you all that it is not just the elderly dying. We have cases in my freezer from 22-90 years old. The nursing homes are a pit of contagion in the best of times, so yes the numbers are skewed because of them.

But the community infections are killing people at every age. We had a gym trainer on our table today. 31. Fitter than most. No underlying conditions. If you go on the vent, if you need the vent you are not likely to walk out. A lot of people need the vent.

This isn't going to kill off the boomers, and leave the rest alone. We are all open to this.

Let corona chan embrace them all; God will know his own

Also a lot more young people will die from suicide and alcoholism due to the to lockdown than coronavirus

The number of Chinese Bots and CCP shills on twitter is fucking amazing. It got to the point where all you have to do is type "China" in the search and you will see thousands of obvious bot accounts pushing, liking and retweeting CCP bullshit so bad that in some cases it's over taking the retards screaming about Trump.

How fucking much does the CCP pay for this shit because it wasn't this bad a week ago, now I wonder how bad this shit is on facebook.

Hey hey hey, spain here!

This is our new normal it seems. Morale has gone straight back up. My union contact is trying to get sent back but they got no tests anymore so we'll see. I'm ok staying home I have no need nor want to go play Cyphas Kain.

Hospital is running along, and at this point I'm proud it's doing as much. It's an old beast but it's still a first rate alright. No losses yet. No new wounded either. Seems we'll make it at this pace.

On more national news, we got cops having a lot of fun with the community to compensate the lost morale, we apparently even got one that used the megaphone to get the neighborhood to sing happy birthday for a kid that had to celebrate it in quarantine, so that's nice. We also finally got the first serious fight between homeless in one of the new shelters, seems they were african migrants, a few shankings, a lot of bruises and police intervention and it got resolved with no serious wounds nor dead. The cops registered them and found a fuckton of sharp objects, they even sharpened god damned screwdrivers the animals. I do enjoy the fact they were clearly and unequivocally identified as african migrants, seems "data protection law" was a bad excuse and now they noticed it.

Old folk homes seem sufficiently reinforced now, was about damned time, so it seems we won't have to fear too much on that front. The snorkel masks got repurposed to even aid with ventilators with an easy to make 3d printed adapter, so that was a great idea. Shortage slowly goes down bit by bit. Here in cadiz we're still using cloth masks but so long as the line holds we can't ask for much more at this point.

Overall. Spain's doing ok under the circumstances. We'll come back out stronger. And as opposed to the brits lack of jobs doesn't make us loose our cool anymore because Spain's been depressed since we lost our colonies so really at this point we can lsugh the pain away (seriously that british graph made me laugh quite a bit. Shit and you people think your economy's bad? We've been at this level of unemployment since before I was alive. You get used to it I assure you.)

Some new news from Iran:
Holy shit, Iran, what are you doing? Nearly 300 fucking people dead due to methanol poisoning...

Here in my village in the Netherlands the church bells haven't stop ringing since a week now, every day is funeral day. Most of them are elderly ''fortunately" but with our smart lockdown policy's the young have starting to visit the IC as well.

This is a good article on the inanity of the British media

https://web.archive.org/web/2020032.../03/we-dont-deserve-our-wretched-media-class/

There is one useful group of people to talk to about coronavirus. They’re epidemiologists, cousins of statisticians. They’re careful and thoughtful and combine medical insight with statistical modelling to make predictions upon which policy-makers — such as the Prime Mininster — have to rely.

No epidemiological model is trivial and not one is obviously “right”. Uncertainty persists (the statistician’s maxim), and good modellers — of the sort I’m sure are advising Sir Patrick and Dr Witty — will make politicians aware of that. Those politicians then have to work out how to share that complex, dynamic message with us.

How much of that simple fact has been made apparent to you in the columns you’ve read this last week? How many epidemiologists have been given space to write columns, or front pieces on the BBC, or Sky?

In contrast: how many un-science columnists have written anything useful about anything? To what extent has their evident immunological ignorance modulated the authoritative tone in which they tell you what to think? “Who’s up? Who’s down? We decide!” At the best of times I find this reduction of politics to soap operatic cod-psychology irritating. At the dawn of this virological hinge-event, it should be unacceptable.

For shame on the media class of this country, incapable of raising its game, unwilling to change its politics-as-sport behaviour, more interested in rehashing its Boris-hatred than educating its readers about epidemiology and immunology: for shame. It’s true we get the government we deserve. But surely we don’t deserve this wretched media class, the blue-tick conspiracists who prefer paranoia to fact, factionalism to evidence, hot-takes to science. Coronavirus is a terrible threat to our health, but it’s the daily output of the British media that sickens me right now.

Grocery stores, pharmacies, markets, and drugstores will remain open, but people above 65 will only be allowed to visit these places between 9:00 AM and noon, while others will be banned from entering during this time.

Hungary goes into a soft lockdown. You can go out for most things:
  • Work,
  • Taking children to daycare,
  • Fulfilling medical needs,
  • Individual sports activities and recreational walks,
  • Weddings and funerals,
  • Shopping for groceries, medication, pet food, drugstore items, tobacco, and fuel,
  • Administrative procedures that require personal presence,
  • Walking pets and caring for animals,
  • Fulfilling parental rights and obligations,
  • Participating in religious activities,
  • Having haircuts and manicures,
  • Using cleaning and hygienic services,
  • Car and bicycle repair services,
  • Veterinary services,
  • Postal, shipping, banking, financial, and insurance services,
  • Providing assistance to those who are unable to take care of themselves.

Fine for not doing one of those many and mostly unnecessary things: 5000 to 500.000 HUF, basically 17 to 17.000 USD fines. Military police is being deployed to enforce it, but I feel it is quite too lenient.

(Emphasis is mine)

300 cases, 34 recoveries, 10 deaths. This is quite impressive that the deaths are not above the recovered, since our healthcare is running on very old equipment.

This poor fellow took a year to learn Hungarian, only to die here. He had no underlying conditions we know of. He was 37 years old. Yeah boomer remover my asshole. Tards.

Germany tried to stop a shipment of masks that went through Germany to Hungary, but backed off.

Orban told the EU that if they are not willing to help, than they should at least get out of the way.

Honestly.... I don't care about the bottom tier of the third world. If their society can't function in a civilised manner, than we don't need so many of them. That is not genocide, that is evolution. They should have either adapted to white cultural standards, or kept their population low so that plagues can't hit them hard. We did not force them to be like this, so we are not to blame, and thus, not responsible for them. Tough luck. This is now every country for itself.

Racism was the good guy trying to prevent us from coofing to death all along. But we did not listen, because it was a foul tasting medicine and we wanted to believe the world is all about hugs and sunshine and love. Well, turns out it is not. Life is a bitch.

Trust the British to get full on Orwellian in less than half a month.
I understand the need for strict regulations, but spying on random citizens hanging around in vast empty planes with drones to then publicly chastise them still seems like a touch much. The replies in particular paint a dreadful picture of how easily people become thoughtless bootlickers the second a little bit of fear hits their amygdala.

Well, you can always cure a disease by killing the patient.

Nicked from Guido, and a comment I saw made me laugh so I am stealing it too.

"Britain gives the NHS the clap."

Listen, Derbyshire wasted shitloads of money on their fucking stupid toy spent a lot of money for the drone unit to do its vital work. They're doing god's work by being dicks nobody's supporting on Twitter by people pointing out that going to more isolated places to walk is sensible.

Oh shit, I don't check for 24 hours and suddenly the US is in first place. Hope you guys stay safe. :(

My state has nearly 3,000 infected and 10 deaths, but my district has only 21 cases. Three have already recovered. My town still has only two cases. Apparently one of the cases is a woman who works in a different district/town and got it from a colleague. He managed to infect the whole office. One guy. He came back from Italy with a cold.

Went shopping for my Granny again, today. God dammit, most of the time I was busy trying to keep the minimum distance (2 meters) and evade other shoppers. By the time I was at the check out, I had a headache. No significant shortage of essential foods or anything, but household detergents, disinfectants, toiletries and soap were hard to get. I need bleach for some things I want to do (no, not drink it) but I can't find any.

Also, some dumbass is suing my state because he can't have a big party for his birthday. I'm not kidding. People are dying, companies are going bankrupt and this dipshit thinks only about his fucking birthday party.

Rate me late if this has been posted before. Bosch developed a Corona Test that gives the results in 2,5 hours. It's going to be available in April.

And we may have Antibody Tests for Corona soon, as well. That's what Christian Drosten said in his podcast on March 25.

Third Michigan policeman dead, aged 63. All three from the Detroit area.

Damn, he was only 2 days away from retirement!

We have extended our lock-down period for two more weeks, until April 12. From March 31, citizens need to be indoors from 7 PM to 5 AM, compared to the 9 PM to 5 AM we have. Supermarkets will be closed on Sundays. Only essential business will remain open and people exempt from the lock-down are those that are essential as well. Also starting from that date, we will be implementing vehicle control. Depending on which number your license plate ends, you can drive your car and only for essential shit.

Jesus, where the fuck is this?

So is it certain days people with certain plate numbers can drive, like US gas rationing in the 70s?

It is odd that Japan and Korea suffer less than Italy.

Perhaps it is the bowing instead of a kissin an a pizza and a huggin' that Italy (and Spain ) loves, Japs are OCD level cleaners. They speak in low tones with little spittle, take off their shoes, and generally do social distancing as standard plus have the NEET master race.
If it was just Japan, I would put the lessened impact on cultural superiority.

Koreans however in my experience are rather unhygenic so that throws a wrench in that theory.

If this thing got out of a lab on accident, what are the chances that they were experimenting on an anti-white virus and Chingchong sold the bats to the wet market because greedy little slantkike?

...

...
What a legend, I hope the dude wins a huge settlement and gets to have his party. State having to pay for it would be hilarious.

In other news, been interacting with normie scum on the facebook a bit more and have now learned to appreciate the culling being visited upon you (you as in whole humanity) :D
