The fact that a dying industry feels obligated to squander its dwindling resources on a gold brick like Quinn is, at the very least, an extremely interesting sociological phenomenon. These are strange times that will make for good reading someday.

Eh, before Alec Holowa's death and the current COVID-19 pandemic, it still made some sort of sense on a virtue-signalling level.

She was a way to get publicity at the height of her e-fame back in 2014-2015. After that, then they probably kept her around because they both feared the Twitter mobs she'd sic on them if she were fired, and because she was probably blowing the right guys at those companies.

Now that Alec's dead, she's now more of a liability than ever and the limited resources were not a problem for Marvel and DC back when Disney and Warner Brothers were making tons of bank and were willing to foot the bill. Thanks to Corona-Chan, Disney and Warner have to watch their expenses more than ever.

I think Zoe Quinn will be completely blacklisted from the comics industry if things get bad enough. I wouldn't be surprised if she's quietly let go later this year.

I don't think she's important enough inside or outside the comics industry to "blacklist", there will just be no interest in her going forward. She just won't get hired because she was utterly unremarkable and it was quickly clear her supposed "social media reach" did nothing to influence book sales.

Couple that with the liability that she remorselessly bullied to death a mentally ill guy beloved by many in the comics demographic, and the phone isn't ringing.

Yes, I know I'm autistic for differentiating blacklisting from lack of interest when they both have the same outcome.
